Everyone Plays!

Ffff I hate shopping for clothes.

More later, but in the meantime: use this space to share your own tales of woe, be they specific ("*this one time I went to the mall and fell down the escalator") to general ("**ALMOST NOTHING EVER FITS ME").

*Has never happened to me.
**Happens with alarming regularity.

I have a small waist, big thighs, and a flat butt. JEANS ARE A FUCKING NIGHTMARE, I TELL YOU. EVERY TIME I GO JEANS BUYING I WANT TO SHOOT MYSELF IN THE FACE.

I second heddychaa, except that my butt is the total opposite of flat. I call it a "shelf butt."

If a high (low? I don't understand ratios) waist-to-hip ratio is supposed to be a good thing health-wise then why is it so hard to buy pants that fit? And why must I be right on the bubble between "regular" and "tall" length in pants, except at Ann Taylor Loft where even the "regular" are too long and I REFUSE to wear a petite size when I am 5'8"!

And let's not start on bras or we'll be here all day.

I have a hard time finding fitted button down shirts. I have a large chest and a small waist [I hate that it's short, too], so anything that fits my waist comfortably, won't button or will gap on my chest. So, I always have to go a size [or TWO!] up. It's really frustrating, because then I look pregnant or bigger than I am.

Jeans are hard, because I fit between a regular and a short. :\

Is tailoring an option? They always say to buy for the biggest part of you and then get the rest taken in, but that can get pretty pricey.

ETA: I have a long torso, and it's not much easier on this end. I don't know what a "normal-length" torso looks like because pretty much everyone I've ever met either has a long one or a short one.
