Awwww, I'm sorry Christmas cards get you down. :( I can understand what with the timing and everything. (one of my best friend's mom's funeral was on Christmas Eve 2002...that time of year always makes me start to get emotional too)
I'll respect your wishes, but I had such a cute one for you picked out. Maybe I'll send it for Valentine's Day or something? Arbor Day? Hehe...I know it'd make you smile.
No, no - neither holiday cards nor the holidays get me down. In fact I love the holidays, and it's the one time of year my family generally behaves! *lol*
It's just that I didn't read - or even open - most of the last two years' worth of cards, so I figured it wasn't right to ask for them, especially as I hadn't sent any back, either.
That's all. :) And if you really feel compelled to send one, please go ahead...just know as much as I love you I probably won't be able to send one in return. *hangs head*
Ooooo, I'm sending it then!! :D I don't care if you don't send one back either...I like GIVING cards out, and knowing that hopefully people will smile because of my card. But I don't send them out thinking that everyone had better send me one back. That really doesn't matter. :)
I know you love me, and I get why you won't be sending them.
I say if you're feeling in the holiday spirit one day, open up all the old cards. It'll probably make you smile and feel loved, even if it does also bring back hard memories...I think that's what life is all about really. Having to take the good with the bad. But don't let the cards make you feel guilty for not sending ones back and for not reading them til now...think about it - that is NOT what the people who sent them to you wanted you to get out of them. ;) Hell, if it were me I might only open the ones from people I know would make me smile and not feel bad about not opening the rest.
I'm really sleepy right now so I might not be making sense. Mmmm...bedtime.

And no, it's not because the memories are hard, it's because of my guilt for not having read them before. *giggles*
Would it help if I sang a lullaby?
