She's skinny and short. About 110 lbs. and 5'3 in height. This is what I mean.

She stands up pretty straight, slouches when she's bored, but her posture isn't bad. Probably got corrected on it a lot when she was younger, living in Vietnam.

Lien is rather healthy and is fit. She practices martial arts to be physically healthy, but sometimes she can slack off and eat junk food when she's too lazy to cook (this is only when she's on her own though-- with someone else around, she's bound to be more active). Lien is someone who is quick on her feet and her small figure is what gives her an advantage when going against someone in a fight or when she runs away.
Her stamina, however, is low and she tires very easily, this being due to her psychic powers. She sleeps a lot of make up for this.

I'm not sure how else to think, but quick especially in a tense situation where she needs to act quick. Graceful, she may be able to pull off, but Lien isn't someone who would do it a whole lot unless she had to. Aaaannd since she's a teen, it's safe to say she can be clumsy at times.

The most notable feature of Lien's are her eyes; they're just a very bright blue and have an odd light to them if one looks close enough. Clear, rosy, complexion. She can tan easily.

Lien has a very casual wardrobe and most notably of all pretty much no dresses or skirts. But that doesn't mean she doesn't wear anything girly. (I AM SO GLAD I DREW EXAMPLE OUTFITS) Mostly doesn't wear dresses because her guardian, Jonah, told her too. (Thinks she'd be safer wearing pants when traveling or when she's on her own). She's so used to not wearing dresses to the point where she feels uncomfortable in one.
EDIT [3/16/11]: She's probably so uncomfortable about wearing skirts or dresses because she's probably a bit insecure about how she looks in them as well.

When speaking English, there is a FAINT trace of an accent, but it's not too noticeable.

Sometimes, and only sometimes does she throw in random Vietnamese phrases just for the hell of it when speaking English. She'll talk in a different language to somebody who speaks a different language obviously.

A little bit of both, but she appears to be more street-smart than book-smart. She's very interested in how people interact and with psychometry she's got a very deep understanding of people, deeper than she allows herself to show off.
She seems to be pretty in tune with pop culture references and with what's in or out in the young crowd. (She does read teen magazines, shut up it's for fashion references). To her, there isn't anything that isn't interesting-- books, movies, music, comics-- she'll know a little bit about it because she's picked up a little bit of everything. (She had to keep herself busy somehow when Jonah wasn't at home).

Mostly thinks on her feet, a bit impulsive that way. But she is trying to learn how to slow down and think things out more carefully.

Lien had a rather thorough schooling when she was in Vietnam up until she was thirteen and left.. The psychic community is fortunate enough to have very intelligent and well educated instructors of different fields.
Jonah made her read textbooks to keep up her education and she's planning to take online university classes when she turns eighteen. That or she'll actually go to a university to have some formal education in forsenic sciences and criminology and join/make a formal detective agency.

Mysteriesssssssss. Well, she's mostly into solving murders, but she'll actually take up any kind of case that needs her to uncover what no one else can see.

No parents. Just a clone of the most powerful psychic, Phuong, at least physically so she could be considered the 'mother' so to speak. She has no idea how she and Ai Thao were made, nor does she wish to ask, one of the few things she's curious about and would rather not find out. She also doesn't ask about Phuong herself because... Haha, asking about yourself. Except not. Lien just doesn't see the point seeing as that person is dead and she has a strong sense of individualism.
The closest parental figures would be her 'grandmother' Lieu Kha, the person whose last name she was given, and Jonah Reed, retired US agent. She's very detached from Lieu, but respects her as her elder. Her grandmother was closest to Phuong, but she was very strict and harsh with Lien and Ai Thao's upbringing. Lien can't say she feels any familial love for her though.
That would be reserved for Jonah. He's Lien's dad/uncle/grandad and brother from another mother all in one. She loves him unconditionally-- He's the one who decided to take her under his wing and help her travel around to do her detective job, no questions asked. She bickers with him and calls him 'old man' on many occasions, but that's her sign of affection for him. Jonah straightens her out when she misbehaves or is too impulsive and she's secretly happy she has a dependable adult who helps her do what she wants without letting her get too ahead of herself. Basically, he's also her mental support-- helps her grow up since she'll have to support herself in the future when he can't be there for her.
So yeah, it's a healthy not!daughter and not!father relationship.

Heterosexual. If no one bothered her about it, she'd probably be asexual and be fine with it, but she is attracted to the opposite sex more than she realizes.

Well, she's not fixated by it by any means. She knows about sexual abuse and desires from other people so she's wary of it (and Jonah makes sure she's safe in that regard). And basically, she hasn't had a chance to think about it because there's no one she loves/likes who she would willingly do it with. Wow that sounds weird.
She'll understand and make dirty jokes, but that's just her being immature about it.

Comfortable. Important people paid a lot for her services when she was younger and the detective gig doesn't pay too badly either. Jonah is very good at mediating and picking her clients for her.

Lien lives in a nice, clean, apartment that she shares with Jonah, in San Diego, California. Two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living space for the entertainment system. It's mostly a place to crash when there's no case.

Sometimes video games, mostly books and movies and music.

She's a detective! Or amateur sleuth would be better to describe it. She loves her job, there's enough excitement in it for her. She's actually very good! Psychometry helps of course, but she's a sharp cookie in her own right.

When not sleuthing, she cooks, reads, and plays games. Or she takes long walks and hangs out in cafes and restaurants.

Lien likes eating different foods, but primarily she likes Asian cuisine and American. She loves veggies and noodles. Tends to eat a lot of junk food when she's too lazy to cook, avoids drinking alcohol.
