Movie Review: Oz, the Great and Terrible

This was a rather pretty film, but well, how do I put it? Well, it’s a bit dumb. Ostensibly a prequel to the famous, 1930s MGM film with Judy Garland, this movie doesn’t really convince me that the origin story for the Wizard of Oz needed to be told. I'm glad I piked. Hubby expressed dissapointment when he got home, but he loved the MGM film so I wasn't surprised. I never had that love for the first movie so the subsequent embelishments don't interest me as much.

(Yes, I'm procrastinating when I have a million and one things to do.)

Wow. Thanks for the review. I was wondering if it was worth seeing but I think I'll give that one a miss. Way to reward people for being dicks - just send them to a magical land where they're awesome. =P
