It turns out that when the nail varnish I bought from boots at the weekend describes itself as:

"single coat high shine colour in 60 seconds"

that it is lying on *ALL* counts.

Doesn't do exactly what it says on the tin. The Rimmel 60 second nail polish sucks too. It was still smeary after 20 minutes.

Its all to do with understanding advertising talk.

"single coat high shine colour in 60 seconds" clearly means that in a single 60 second period, a single coat of this polish (not necessarily the top one) will have a high shine colour. If you blink, or you've already painted over it, you miss it...

Man, I don't know how many 'instant dry' nail varnishes I have (I have, like, 50 things of nail varnish) that, when I go to bed two or three hours after using it, I have odd designs on my nails.

I am also incapable of going without smearing it by brushing my hands against something or other.

In short: I sympathise!
