The mission hadn’t gone exactly as planned. Not in the least. The tipoff had been a false lead which led Squalo and his team right into the midst of an ambush. Most of his squad had perished in the ensuing skirmish, but Squalo and several others managed to emerge victorious, though suffering several serious wounds in the process

Striding through the halls, Belle shoos off a disapproving nurse and bursts through the door. She had driven like a madwoman to get here, she wasn't going to allow herself to be detained.

Squalo looks up, mildly surprised. He wasn't expecting to see her until he was released. "Why if it isn't her highness descending from on high to mingle with us commoners."

She stalks right up to the bed and aims a punch right in his face. Bedridden or not, she's pissed.

He raises the book to catch her fist, huffing idly. He's not so incapacitated that he can't fend off a punch. "PMSing, princess?"
