Name and meaning:
Well, obviously Daisy was named after the flower of the same name. It fits her personality well: daisies remind people of sunny and happy days, and Daisy is very sunny and very happy... when she's not drama-queening over her love-life, anyway. Or losing her temper. Speaking of love, it's only fitting that Daisy is a romantic, because of the common practice of plucking a daisy's petals to see if someone loves them or not. Strangely fitting for her love life.
Age and date of birth:
Daisy was born July 30, 1990. She's eighteen years old, but she hasn't quite fully matured. She's very spritely and full of a child-like spirit, which, while it can be very charming, can also get on peoples' nerves.
Physical attributes: (Elaborate on everything, from hair style to muscle tone to the their eyelid's tendency to flicker up and down during a boring teacher's lessons. Twitch.)
Daisy has blue eyes and auburn hair, the latter of which is styled into a neat part, and comes down to her shoulders. The ends of her hair curl up on either side of her head, and between them, her hair curves continually up and down, resembling bumps. How she manages to maintain such a hairstyle is anyone's guess, but she always keeps it as perfect as she can get it-- not a strand is out of place.
Daisy is 5'4" tall and, while not muscular in appearance, is surprisingly strong, likely due to the fact that she practices so many sports. She is anything but a stick-figure: she is mildly-toned, almost unnoticeable, and her flat stomach conceals strong abs. Her skin is surprisingly pale for someone who loves being outdoors, but she isn't exactly pasty-looking.
Distinguishing features: (Anything unusual-scars, tattoos, etc. Or an unusual color of hair. What makes your character an individual? Please do not say violet-coloured eyes.)
Daisy's eyes are very bright and bold-looking, possibly due to its contrast with her skin and hair colors. Her hairdo is also pretty recognizable.
Frequently used verbal expressions: (Either phrases “unbelievably pretentious!” or attitude.)
Daisy is very loud and real no matter what attitude she takes on. If she sees something cute, she's usually go "Gah!" If she's disgusted or frustrated, she'll go "Ugh!" She does say "Oh my god!" a lot, but more often than that she'll say "Good Grambi!" in less extreme situations (Grambi being the semi-equivalent of God where she comes from).
Something I have almost never touched upon is that she sometimes talks like a valley girl: "Whatever!" "I'm so sure!" -_-; And sadly, yes, it is game canon.
Frequently used facial expression or other physical gesture: (They motion with their hands while they talk, never look people in the eye while giving speeches, tap their pens while listening to professors.)
Daisy makes a lot of hand-motions when she talks; in fact, her whole body tends to move when she talks, as she is highly expressive. When she's sad, disappointed, or embarrassed, she lowers her head, and her body closes up. She always blushes when she's embarrassed, and it's highly noticeable. She grins a lot, and when she smiles, it's always sincere.
Daisy likes to cross her arms or put her hands on her hips when she's serious or angry with someone. If she's really angry, she crosses her arms, taps her foot, and puffs out her cheeks, as if ready to scream. (And when she does scream... OUCH.)
When excited, Daisy clasps her hands together or does a little dance. She might also hold her hands on either side of her head, partially closed, and bounce in place. If she's feeling really excited, she may start jumping up and down and squeal.
Education (and grade): (Please elaborate on education prior to, during, and after school, including their level of interest in their subject of choice (or as chosen by another) and their general academic behaviour. Did they attend primary schools? Home tutoring? Somehow, they managed to read and pick up other basic skills, right?)
Prior to attending Sumabura, Daisy has always been homeschooled, with her father's advisor, Pionpi, acting as her tutor. The young princess has been taught many subjects, but as to what her actual educational level is, it is uncertain, which is why she was enrolled as a freshman. She is waiting to be assessed through her grades to see if she can skip a year.
Daisy likes to dip her feet into just about any subject, but stuff like Philosophy, Physics, and suchlike are beyond her understanding at this point. Currently, her favorite classes are Zoology, Creative Writing, and Driver's Ed.
Academic skills: (Classes they excel at, whether or not essays are the thing for them, neat handwriting, attentive listening-how they manage to pass their classes or career.)
Daisy prefers subjects are ones that are creative, like Creative Writing or Art, physically-oriented, like Gym or Driver's Ed, or anything that's hands-on, like Zoology. Not that she doesn't like deep, logical thinking-- stuff like Social Psychology (at least, judging from the one time she attended) give her a nice challenge, and being Daisy, she can't pass up a challenge. (Stinkoman would be proud. XD) Daisy just needs to have ideas put into simple terms, otherwise she's overwhelmed and confused. If it's too complicated to explain, she won't do so well.
She can do essays just fine-- she's simple and to the point in her writing, very logical, the latter of which contrasts sharply when she's on the move. She's an attentive listener, she writes very neatly, and she doesn't try too hard; just enough so that she passes and gets a good grade.
Academic weaknesses: (And everything they manage to do to fail.)
Kind of explained them above. ^_^; But to reiterate: if things aren't explainable in simple details, she's not going to do well. Period.
Main goal (dream) at this point in time: (Their main goal or dream is likely to change over time. How does it reflect their character? What hidden aspects are there to it? Elaborate.)
Daisy's biggest goal right now is to get Knuckles to notice her as more than a friend. Daisy has had a history of being rejected by potential love interests (like Luigi), so finding her "true love" has become very important to her. Plus, she just plain adores Knuckles. She just hopes history doesn't repeat itself.
Her dream is to be a queen with a good, loving king by her side. She also wants to have children (ones besides Didi and Schitzo), as the idea of being a mother thrills her to no end.
Secondary goals: (Like before, but smaller things that are somewhere in the spectrum, but not at the top of the list.)
One of Daisy's smaller goals is to make more friends and strengthen her current relationships. Daisy considers herself a social butterfly, as she certainly was one back at home. The idea of being ignored and looked down upon frightens her. She hates the feeling of being alone.
Another goal is to get people to take her more seriously. Nobody messed with her back at home, and now that there are people picking on her non-stop, it makes her feel like a doormat. Now she's trying to reclaim her title of "Number One Badass Chick," and she won't stop until does.
Love interest: (One hopes this will change over time. What draws them to this person? Is there a common characteristic in all those they adore? What types of relationships are they involved in?)
Knuckles. Knuckles, Knuckles, Knuckles.
To explain the attraction, allow me to shoot through the timeline of their relationship, since it's the only way I know how to explain:
They didn't notice each other much when they first met in Zoology class, nor during the second one, but looking back on the second, Daisy admires the fact that Knuckles has such a strong sense of justice.
The third time they met, Daisy got a good look at Knuckles' human form. Though she was under the influence of a Smash Ball, she could definitely appreciate how he looked. H-O-T, hawt.
Then, after Daisy's epic fight with Dimentio, Knuckles risked his safety to be there for Daisy when she released her Final Smash. He didn't even grudge her for the gash the attack left on him. And when Daisy had collapsed into a coma, he immediately took her to the hospital without a second thought. He'd pretty much saved her life, and naturally, Daisy is grateful. He had proven to her how brave and selfless he truly was. Plus, since then, Daisy felt very safe around Knuckles.
When Didi and Schitzo ran away, Knuckles was right on top of helping Daisy find them, and when he became their honorary uncle, Daisy saw many new sides to him: he was protective, loving, strong but still gentle, and he had a budding paternal side to him.
When Daisy cried over her incident with Fang, Knuckles tried his hardest to provide comfort and insight, which Daisy appreciated. It was also then that Daisy learned how Knuckles spent most of his life alone, guarding the Master Emerald, and she was left in awe of his dedication and sense of responsibility. It was at this point she admitted to herself that she was in love.
Now that Daisy is trying to win Knuckles over, she's starting to realize that subtlety flies right over his head, and being too blunt scares the crap out of him. Finding a balance of both is frustrating the poor princess to no end, and she's running out of patience. She is dead-set on telling Knuckles she loves him, especially since he's getting so much female attention lately.
Family: (At least 100 words on each character should cover occupation, family history, how family members met (your character's parents), and a basic personality description.)
Daisy's father, King Rowan, is the ruler of Sarasaland. His wife, Daisy's mother, was Queen Rose, who died when Daisy was three. Rose was an girl of no important title or occupation when Rowan met her, but it was love at first sight, and being engaged at eighteen, they married during their mid-twenties.
Rowan is a strong man, a good and benevolent king, and a loving father, but he tends to let his personal opinions cloud his proper judgement. It takes his advisors and/or his friendship with the sub-rulers of Sarasaland to bring him back down to earth.
Rose was a very kind and patient woman. She was also one of the few people who acted as Rowan's anchor, probably the most influential one. But she loved her husband dearly, and her daughter still more. She was a wonderful queen, and her subjects adored her. To her, everyone in the kingdom was her family, and she always sought to see the good in everyone. All this made her death all the more painful for Sarasaland.
Place of residence (city, house, etc.): (Where does your character live?)
Daisy's home is in Sarasaland, naturally, in her father's castle. Sarasaland is divided into four smaller lands: Birabuto (a dry desert), Muda (a watery place with only high platforms to keep one high and dry), Easton (a mountainous area with stone carvings and stone inhabitants reminiscent of Easter Island), and Chai (a land greatly resembling China in landscape, and heavily populated with bamboo forests). Rowan's castle is located in Chai.
Worst past experience: (Please remember that experiences are not limited to relationships--early/childhood experiences would be best, unless something that happened to your character as an adult has had a more significant impact.)
Daisy's mother, as stated, died when she was three, the cause being heart disease. While Daisy barely remembers her mother, and her father did everything he could to make her forget, knowing now who she was and how she passed on made her death painful to Daisy nonetheless.
When Daisy was two, she had a crush on a prince her age named Haru. When she told him she liked him, he pushed her to the ground and yelled at her. It was a traumatic experience for Daisy, and it was since then she feared rejection.
When Daisy was about fifteen, a purple alien with pointy ears named Tatanga kidnapped her, and took over Sarasaland, hypnotizing its inhabitants and making them his slaves. Worst of all, he wanted Daisy to marry him and become his queen. The whole experience scared Daisy so much that the mere thought of Tatanga makes her want to cry. She is just thankful that Mario came and rescued her.
And of course, there's the Luigi situation, but let's not get into that. We all know the story by now. -_-;
Best past experience: (Please remember that experiences are not limited to relationships--early/childhood experiences would be best.)
Shortly after Haru pushed her, and the adults were dealing with him, Luigi (then a tot himself), came to comfort Daisy and even kissed her knee, which had been scraped. That was when Daisy started falling for Luigi.
Before she went to bed on Halloween night, or the night before, Rowan would tuck Daisy in and tell her scary stories all night, at Daisy's request. It was a big bonding tradition for them. Though one's gotta wonder how she didn't have nightmares. O.O
Rowan would also dress up as Santa Claus every Christmas. He would call Daisy "Santa's favorite little elf," and bring her gifts in a large sack, just like the real Santa. And of course, there was always a huge Christmas tree and all the things Daisy currently obsesses over come Christmastime.
There was a time where Peach was holding a ball in her castle. Luigi was very shy, but he asked Daisy to dance with him, and of course she said yes. The entire time, Daisy gazed into Luigi's eyes, and he'd blush more and more. Even if nothing remotely romantic happened afterwards, it gave Daisy a taste of the feeling she wanted when she met "the one."
GAH I'LL FINISH THIS LATER.
