Tomorrow I'm going phone shopping! The moment I've been waiting for has arrived - that's right, new mobiles on the "$0 on the $29 cap" list! Here are the choices:

Sony Ericsson K608i, LG U8360 or LG U8180.

i have a three phone and they are quality.
i also went from a nokia, a 3350, i ended up with a motorola e1000, which i think is a fantastic phone.

i'd be questioning USB suppor, and i'd also be questioning Blue Tooth support.

usually the Sony does a good job of this, but it maybe reserve blue tooth for its higher end Z series phones.

also are any of them able to take expanded memory cards?
trans flash?
memoroy stick?

thats more imporatnt than onboard memory.

Oh USB, I didn't even think of that! Ok...
The Sony has Bluetooth and USB;
The ugly LG has Bluetooth and USB; and
The cheap LG just has USB.

It seems that only the ugly LG has expandable memory (trans flash). I don't think I'd use any more than 33MB though - I could always just transfer pics onto my computer couldn't I?

Mine's a Nokia 3315 - I'm looking forward to getting a 3 phone!

True, I think if I get over my obsession with clamshells, the Sony is clearly the better phone... I'm going to listen to reason and get the Sony :P

they're a bit more sturdy.

whoa so many confusing technical terms... I can't get over people taking phone-buying seriously. my phone's flippiness is actually a bad thing; it makes it look better than it actually is and people are disappointed when I say I just use it for SMSs. it has no special features at all. how bland.

I've got the K608i myself and can attest to it being an excellent phone!
