are you talking about power plays at the swan basement? I'm going to see that sometime this week when I get the chance. I wish the play n piss wasn't on friday; there's a meeting I really should go to that evening.

good luck with the assignment...

Play and Piss is on Friday? What for - Panto or Power Plays?
Who decided this without informing the committee?!

I take it that's a yes for the power plays then. tim mentioned to me on sunday he was considering sending out an email to everyone saying friday for panto; didn't say for sure.

Yes, that's a yes to Power Plays.
I think we should make sure Dan can come before sending out an email! It's not a Panto without Dan. If he's working Friday night we might need to make it Thursday. Meeting tomorrow though, we'll sort it out :)

This weeks G-news also mentions a play at the Blue Room which sounds like it would be good for a play & piss - falling petals i think it was called.

Yes!! Tomorrow we gotta get working on planning tertles camp!

I'd send you my crim assignment but it was research assignment on female genital mutilation and not at all helpful. You can have myt notes if ya like - my crim 1 notes are the best notes ive done in the past 3.5 years, and prbably even the best I've ever seen if i do say so myself - really concise and the elements are all set out so handily - I was looking at them last night to help out a fresher and I was like holy shit these are good.

Catchya tomorrow :)

Hey that's really good news - see I was leafing through my sister's notes and it seems her 1st semester assignment was also very research-based, which is comforting because I was worried mine was getting too researchy. They set ours out like a problem question, but essentially it's a research assignment. So the fact that yours was research makes me feel like I'm heading in the right direction.

ok, from chats tonight, i think a lot of us (being me, dan w, michelle and... well, us) are comitted to a thursday night panto... yeah, don't really want to sacrifice a weekend night to them :D although matty and someone else can't do it, so there may be support for a splinter friday slot. but with thurs we were thinking meet at kks at 6 and begin getting the alcoholic shield required to handle this heap of excrement. oh, and a sneak preview of the comedic delights on offer:

"I'm on a seafood diet. I see food, and i eat it"

apparently that's on the highlights reel. bodes well.

It's going to be Thursday! And we're meeting up at KK's beforehand, from 5 onwards. We'll get you some midstrength.

I dunno, despite your legal argument, I still feel it's vaguely unsporting to promise dan won't be there when he will. james shouldn't have made the promise if he knew it wouldn't hold water. "they've given us the spot we want already" - what if it happens again; will they be as trusting? just wanted you to think about it, after what you said above.

Vaguely unsporting - maybe. But essentially the promise is that Dan won't go over the top shouting things out of the audience. I can't remember exactly what James said but it could have been interpreted as 'Yes, we'll handle that; yes, we'll give him a talking to.' They just don't want him to ruin the show - that's all.

I think as long as Dan's reasonably sober it'll be fine.

i can't believe that you had another play, and you didn't tell me about it AGAIN!

geeez louise!!

also panto?
as in panto the dog?
the online game which allows paedophiles to interact with unsuspecting children, as seen in the paedogeddon episode of brass eye?

Oh whoops sorry! I completely forgot!
There'll be another one next semester. I PROMISE I will tell you about it.

And WHAT?? Panto as in... pantomime... the, uh, theatre construct.

She's in Montreal, working at Starbucks! And living with one of her old roomies from when she went on exchange to Vancouver. And learning a bit of French as she goes.
