Hi all,

Sorry I’ve been a lousy LJ friend lately. I’ve been chasing my tail just trying to pay the bills around here, and as the official release of The Sound of Building Coffins draws nearer I’ve been chasing my other tail over that. Time to stop and think and socialize a little bit has become nearly nonexistent. I have been somewhat active over ( Read more... )

No, Nada, Nyet, Nix, Nee!

Please send some fucking vudoo their way to sort them out...sticking some pins up the arse of the guilty. I have e-mailed them, got a reply that they're waiting for the signed copies and that they'll let me know.No further news.

There's always another one coming up, right behind. Seriously, it does sometimes seem we go straight from Mardi Gras season, to hurricane season, and back to Mardi Gras season, round and round.

Nice post and pix.

Heh, that's the slide of my trombone at the right in the last photo. I was asked to play with the Red Hot Brass Band, as they they were worried they'd be trombone-less. We wound up having 3. Well, too many is better than not enough, as long as there's a lead. Poor Red broke his leg but did the parade in a wheel chair-- what a trooper!

I plan to pick up a copy of your book when you do your signing at Maple Street.

Thanks -- I was very impressed by cornet-blowin'-dude-in-a-wheel-chair. That's some hardcore carnival spirit goin' on.

I might have a picture of you too, will have to go back and check :)

Thanks for supporting the Maple Leaf -- what a great bookstore! I stopped in to say hello and drop off some postcards a few days ago and they were really great. Wendy had read the advance reading copy and had nothing but nice things to say. I'm looking forward to that one!
