So you say you want a revolution?

I spent a lot of my time at work today prepping things and trying to figure out what it would take make american kids care about politics. The tricky part was not making any assumptions, and being realistic about what kind of thing kids would be willing to listen to. I think the problem we've run into in America is this: young people are largely ( Read more... )

good stuff lou, but i don't think it'd be too hard to finance something like that, depending on what you want to do. make it a live stream? thats harder, but easily we could make a production a week, and we could find a lot of great writers, I mean guav's journal is all about that, sometimes. the trick is to find someone beautiful. I'll take care of the rest. You find the girl.

If it was a porn site money would roll right in.
I had the same idea, only it was also to buy mailing lists from sites and spam people with the truth.

I'm 17 and I am very interested in politics and such, but this wasn't until recently, and I have yet to learn as much as I want to about politics. Maybe along with your Idea you can recommend something interesting to read that will bring me (and others who may be interested as well) up to date, while keeping in mind that I dun know anything about politics.
Oh and MTV sucks. Except for the Osbourne's. heh. Maybe they should make an episode about what the family thinks about what's going on in the world rather then "Kelly vs. Christina Aguilera"
::hug::
P.S. very great Idea, maybe you should get some eye-candy for the young girls considering most of them are not like me and they are not interested in beautiful gorgeous women. bye now. :)

I'm 17 and I wouldn't tune into a radio station online if I knew it was going to be mainly political and filled with normal music. The kids who listen to the normal popular music will turn away from that station and go to something like launchast or something...they want drone music all the time. Personally I know all my friends who are interested in politics go to GOOD websites on that internet that aren't too radical, read the paper and listen to talk radio. Half of the reason kids don't care about politics I think is because all the sides we see are so radically one sided. If you watch TV news like CNN or the NY Times you are blasted with democratic mumbo jumbo, if you listen to most not all talk radio you are surrounded by republican biased media. If I'm going to get political information from anywhere but my normal sources I'll most likely want to get it in mags like Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone where I don't fear the writers will have the writing capabilities of an 11 year old. Honestly, all the people I know who aren't involved ( ... )
