I am sorry that I am not able to come and bid you farewell in person, but I must leave as soon as possible. My... I just received word that my father has been killed, in what appears to be some Death Eater activity in France. I am taking a leave of absence to attend to my mother and Gabrielle.
I wish you could come with me. I am afraid I will be needing your comforting hugs most of all right now. But you have your brother to take care of, as well as the other students. I hope that by the time I return, he will be well again.
Also, if you would please inform Oliver of this as well, I would be most appreciative. Merci beaucoup.
