Happy slightly apocalyptic anniversary!

(Frogging, for those who don't knit, comes from "Rip it! Rip it!" That means you're unraveling your project back to yarn.

I did not know either the term or the etymology, and now I must teach it to L! (I also hadn't thought of Ravelry as a potential source of yarn, and should suggest it to her...)

The other term I like is "tink," which is to knit backwards i.e. fix your mistake. Doesn't work with crochet. I'm sure there are a lot of cute crochet words.

Ravelry is a great source for yarn. Plus, people review different yarns. I've talked myself out of buying certain yarns after reading the reviews. Nice to know what pills, what has lots of knots, what's scratchy....

Hee!

I passed on the Ravelry yarn sourcing trick to L :) (she's planning on branching out into amigurumi type crochet and is having trouble finding yarn she wants in reasonable quantities for her needs.)
