couldn't actually see them cos we were standing in front of the other stage, waiting for sleater kinney... some cool tunes that made me want to get my groove on... fun, upbeat and kinda new order-ish...

i only knew 2 songs in their entire set cos i'm stupid and only have two of their records...
note to self: must buy more sleater kinney...
the magic numbers
boring. i gave them 4 songs to impress me. they get double points for using a melodica, but it still didn't grab me enough to want to stick around.

arrived in the boiler room just in time to hear 'much against everyone's advice' <-- the only song i was interested in hearing. the rest of it was a bit hard for my liking but they were still pretty good.

the mars volta
wow. jaw droppingly good. afro's and epileptic dancing gets a thumbs up from me any day. but their music was just insane! totally chaotic and complex, and very intense! most impressive set of the day.
iggy pop
i found him to be a bit comical really... i couldn't stop laughing at his antics. i was a little scared for a while that his very tiny pants might come off and we'd get to see the real iggy pop, but thankfully they stayed firmly in place. points for using the entire stage space, including the first few rows of the crowd, but it didn't really do much for me.
the white stripes
i like the white stripes. i've seen them before when they were good. today, they were crap. the only saving grace was the fact that jack white looked hot.
too many dj's
dance music has never really been my thing, but i checked them out cos there wasn't much left to do while trish boogied away at the end of the night.
