the Middle Kingdom encompasses all that stretches from east to west, from the rise of the light of consciousness to its decline. It is so aptly named and described to refer to the illumination and continuation of consciousness. Be assured if it is not a specific component in your dreams, it is the context in which they are now taking place.

I think in relation to the point you are making the void is both, not just one or the other [and we should be conscious of both]. Its character as an all-consuming black hole represents the fictitious death of our qualities that are altered by its transformative properties - when we are cast out after circumnavigating it's periphery with increasing velocity, party of our orbit has been the death/rebirth cycle that has redefined the qualities we cling to as essential characteristics of our peronsality, and whose loss we consider a "little death".

"part[sic] of our orbit has been the death/rebirth cycle that has redefined the qualities we cling to as essential characteristics of our peronsality, and whose loss we consider a "little death"."

So Kyle,
do you find that in broaching/entering some sort of alien void (national in this case) that certain personality characteristics of yours have been cast off? Is it harder to define/relate to your Self, or rather, do you define/relate to yourself simply, as alien to your surroudings?

How's your identity doing, dude?

I am glad that you did - I haven't been able to log into gmail recently, so I have been experiencing some worries re: communicating with you before Sunday.

My phone number is area code (024) 24841590-12 - I will likely be home Saturday night. There may be a 'country code' that is necessary for calls, but perhaps not if you are dialing locally.

It would be easiest for me to find you on Sunday night, after work - if you can email me (or use this forum, I guess, if gmail is still uncooperative) with your location, I can attempt to come find you (I finish at 6 or so).

And: is there any word on the feasibility of my 'modest request'?

- Kyle
