Digimon and Music

Yesterday, I was asked to jam with my friend's folk band.  Ever since I started playing music with Kamemon, I've realized that a musical connection is one of the strongest connections that any two friends (and maybe even strangers) can have.  For that reason, I felt close to people who were neither Chosen Children nor Digimon for what might have ( Read more... )

We should start a band one day. You and Kamemon have the strings, I have the piano, and Solarmon can provide special effects on the stage. Though I guess folk music doesn't usually come with pyrotechnics...

Also, is "jam" the right word? When I think of folk music, the word "jam" doesn't seem to fit. "Jam" just makes me hungry...

We can revolutionize pyrotechnic folk music. I bet the only reason that it hasn't caught on yet is because people didn't have the convenience of Digimon to make the fire. Also, with Tortomon's help, we could turn it into pyrotechnic folk "rock." (Sorry, but I had to counter your pun somehow.)

Of course...girls love a guy with a guitar...

Do most bands form over Livejournal? Because it looks like this one is about to...

Spending many years with a really close friend and no excursions to the Digital World, we had nothing better to learn to play music together.

That sounds like so much fun, Lou! I wish I could be there to see you all play. Makes me wish Tailmon and I could play, too.

But we take photos together? I guess that's something, ne?

I doubt Kamemon and I would be able to play music around someone without some additional accompaniment. But I did send Sam a few of our recordings. If he thinks they're good enough, I'll ask him to forward them to you!

And if Tailmon can handle photography with her claws, I'm impressed. It's more than I can do with my hands.

I'd love to hear them! It must be hard for him to learn instruments, I'd imagine.

Ah - no. She hasn't figured out a way to take the photos herself, but she's usually around when I take them and helps with lighting the scenes and some of the time she helps with the development.

I like to photograph her, too, but she tends to pose unless I catch her off guard. I prefer candid shots, they're usually a lot nicer.
