sunday_reveries "Is this love?"

Daisy's back thumps loudly against the wall, and she winces in pain at Ray's tight grip around her shoulders. His cold gaze never leaves her moist eyes. She should have put more effort into her acting. She should have. Ray wouldn't be so upset with her otherwise.

But his hold softens. A sigh escapes his tense lips as his head flops forward.

"There should be no hesitation in your touch, Daisy." He speaks of that earlier love scene, and he's angry. She can hear it in his voice. Hear it passed the pseudo-apologetic tone.

Ray looks up at Daisy again, his stare a lot softer than before. His fingers tighten around her shoulder once more, if only to pull her in for a bruising kiss. The rough touch of his lips fades into a tender caress which acts as a sudden forgiveness. He pulls her away so her back is again touching the hard wall, his palms now make their way to hers. Daisy smiles a little, and so does he, but it isn't for her. He's pleased with himself, for his kiss is like an eraser and he's fully aware. An eraser which gets rid of the leftover led until there is nothing left but blank paper.

Daisy. I love you, baby.

...I love you too.

Then it's time to start over.
