[Zel was equally unaware that he was finding himself heading in her direction in his quest to escape some of the more affectionate fairies. It wasn't that he objected to them as such, but they seemed to be having trouble keeping their hands away - especially from his ears.
He was just about sure he'd lost them - then, of course, he very nearly tripped over Amelia.]
[Naturally Amelia bolted upright as someone almost fell over her. Looking up and seeing the chimera, she waver her hand in dismissal as there was no harm done. Still she knew he didn't get distracted like that for no good reason.]
Oh, it's okay Mr Zelgadiss. Is everything alright?
[She tilted her head, tapping her chin in thought.] They do seem to be lingering around a lot of people's heads. Maybe they're just overly friendly.
[Smiling back, she settled herself back down again, stretching out.] I'm fine, making the most of this while I can. It feels like it's been ages since I've felt this relaxed.
[Amelia giggled, failing to hide the laughter behind her hand.] Well you can't blame them for that. Besides, your ears are cute Mr Zelgadiss.
[She looked up at him with half lidded eyes, quite content to louge where she was.] It's not like there's many chances for me to do this, even back home.
[His cheeks reddened just a little; he still had a little trouble taking compliments, especially when they came from her.] Ah, thank you, Amelia.
I think I know what you mean. I suppose that's one of this place's good points, as few of them as there are. [He sighed, his hand brushing gently against hers.]
[Naturally she just grinned back quite happily, deciding not to tease him too much.] You're welcome.
Mhmm, no need to fight anyone. And I don't have to do boring paperwork like at home either. [She glanced down as she felt his hand over hers, wasting no time in interlacing their fingers.]
[He was grateful for the lack of teasing, and he smiled as he felt her fingers slip between his own. It was nice just to be with her like this.] Yes, of course.
[She sighed, content with the contact as well. Considering how she had believed Zel would never be this relaxed about physical contact, she wanted to enjoy the intimacy of it while she could.] What about you? You're not too bored staying in the same place with nothing to do are you?
[He raised an eyebrow, glancing over at her.] I'm not sure that the hotel actually qualifies as staying in the same place. I think there might be enough room inside it to count as a world on its own.
I guess not. I suppose that's fortunate. I mean you do prefer travelling around right? [She squeezed his fingers a little, hoping she hadn't sounded like she was assuming too much or being intrusive.]
[She nodded, it had been a good few years since they met. It was hard to believe how the time had just flown by.] I know, but that doesn't give the excuse to be rude.
[She fidgeted a bit, biting her lip.] Well I still don't want to impose. I mean I know you don't like talking about certain things, I'd rather not say something that will upset you. You're important to me, and I wouldn't want to hurt you.
He was just about sure he'd lost them - then, of course, he very nearly tripped over Amelia.]
Oh! Amelia! I'm sorry...

[He smiles at her as he settles in next to her.] Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, at least.
