Oh Franco, how could I have forgotten?
I had the ecstatic experience of listening to a live Met broadcast recording from 1964 of Don Carlo with Franco Corelli. I can't describe what happens to me when that man sings. He is the King of tenors. The Elvis of opera. The greatest of them all.

Miss no more, he is pure ecstasy! I recommend you listen to him in complete operas, just because he is rather intense and can be exhausting if you try a whole album of just him singing arias. I saw someone refer to him as the Niagra of Tenors and I think it fits... LOL! He has the sheer force of a heldon tenor with teh sparkle on top of Pavarotti. Yep. He's my man!
