I was also surprised when I got the twill myself... It was too slinky for anything I would normally do, but something like 1920s or 30s would be perfect for it. I hope you weren't disappointed... I tried to make it really specific in the auction that it was like charmeuse, so whoever bought it wouldn't make the same shocking discovery I did.

Oh, I love it! I just haven't decided what to do with it. It is very slinky but it has almost no bias stretch and it's pretty thick. Maybe corsets? Or a kirtle? I can get a kirtle out of 3 yards, maybe?

So, if it's unusual, I wonder if maybe the AM stuff I have is "normal" silk twill?

I love that blouse and saw it at CC, but I think this stuff is too thick for that. It's more of a suit-weight.
