Are you sure that the PDSvN dress isn't grand enough for St George??? Its a gorgeous one and certainly is something that Nobles in England would have given their eye teeth for! Though, I do understand that St George do have set standard!!
One day, Edmund and I will have to make our way down to your end and your Ren Faire when you are playing Queenie! That would be nice.
You are going to Costume College but will you be able to make it to Costume Con in April? I've been informed that I am going.
I am not going to get to attend the Con in April :-( But since you've been informed you're making a special trip, maybe I'll pop up there for a day and finally get to meet you! :-)
As for the PDSvN, I don't think it really fits the look of St. George. The main overdress fabric is a waleless courderoy, so the nap isn't as fuzzy nor is the color as rich as it needs to be. Also, as muc as I looooove all the silver trim, it really needs some kind of jeweling to make it fit in to their look and I really wanted to keep it plain like the original. If I can squeek the silver past faire approval I can wear it with St. Ives. That might be possible just because the costume head-cheese doesn't know better.
As for Queenie, stay tuned. More and more surprises on the horizon. :-)
Oooh - - it would be nice for you to come up for one day at least!!
Not entirely sure when else edmndclotworthy and I will come out next!
Other than me coming out for Costume Con at the end of April, we won't be going anywhere else this year.
(PS - is is JUST me whose coming out to Costume Con. Chatting about JUST costumes isn't quite Edmund's thing. But he is being VERY encouraging to me about this.)
