Traveling through the stars between worlds... such a thing is possible?

It took an entire fleet of ships connected by a complex computer network, and the hard work of hundreds of scientists...but yes, it's possible.

The will to survive is enough to make people do amazing things...

What do you mean, the will to survive?

Earth, where they-- we came from was severely overpopulated. Some stayed behind, but the ones with the courage to do so, left...for the sake of the survival of the human race.

I almost question the validity of your memory, except there is the detail of the thousands of people, which would be necessary for a viable breeding population. Little details like that ring true.

I saw them with my own eyes, too. Everyone was sleeping in cryo-sleep chambers... Maybe I should've been creeped out, but the sight of it was just plain amazing.

It sounds eerie.

But at least there must have been peace and quiet.

Knives and I would visit the chambers sometimes. It was cold down there, you could see your breath. We were still too young to think anything close to philosophical thoughts, standing before an entire population of sleeping people, but...there was an undeniable tranquility in the air.

...

Knives really wanted to meet them... I can't remember if or when he did.

The thought makes your head spin, doesn't it?

Quite so! But hmm . . . [studies Vash intently]

Would that . . . make you an alien?

N-no...see, the ship...it was coming from Earth, and... I guess we were aliens to the planet we landed on, b-but...

[Walking past him, she feels something... strange, almost indescribable. It's different than when around other people, and she stops, turning her head to look at him, not making any kind of effort to hide her surprise.

What was this feeling?]

[She was staring, wasn't she? Stammering a second, caught completely off-guard, she put a hand over her mouth with a small gasp, a bit of pink spreading over her cheeks. It was so embarrassing! Trying to recover, she gave a short chuckle, putting a hand to her chest.

That feeling was still there. So familiar...]

No, I... I'm sorry, you just startled me is all. D-don't mind me! [She waved her hand with a nervous chuckle.]

Franziska and I are working close together; I promise to watch over her for you when I can, Vash.

Your story is quite impressive, Vash. I wonder what level of technology your world had.

Thanks, Miss Fate. I know I can count on you. ^_^

Mm, yeah...it was pretty amazing.

[Private] It was high enough that humans were able to create a new kind of Plant that had its own will and mind... [/Private]

Whatever it was, all those humans made it to the new planet thanks to it.

That's very interesting. I was wondering if my world was the only one with interplanetary travel.

Though, it sounds more...difficult in your world.

Wow-- What's it like where you come from? :D Maybe...space stations? Can you travel easily between planetary systems?
