for Valentines day!
Warning: slash and het, fluff
1.Bruce/Tony
Bruce rolled his eyes, having learned to ignore whatever the other was spouting. It was usually around the same lines, sarcastic remarks and complains over something or other. Bruce was sure that Tony knew by now that Bruce didn’t listened and most of the time, he didn’t cared. At some point in Bruce’s past, he would have felt guilty, but now, Bruce just listens when it is important.
“I, um, got you something.”
Like at that moment. Bruce glanced up from his book, to have his eyes meet Tony’s. He could tell that the other was just slightly nervous, which was not as strange as others would think. It was definitely not something that happened everyday, but Tony just like everyone else, had his moments.
“You mean Pepper came by to drop off something for me?” Bruce asked, sitting up straight because, Bruce had never been one to get many gifts, and he could not help if it brightened his day to receive something. Perhaps it would have bothered others, having things filtered through Pepper but honestly, it was part of who Tony was. He was a genius who focused on a problem without bothering to think of anything else, and Bruce understood that. He had similar problems.
“No, this is from me.”
“Alright, what is wrong?” Bruce asked, now slightly worried. Usually, when Tony did something on his own, it meant there was something wrong.
“Nothing is wrong, something doesn’t have to be wrong all the time for me to give you something.” Tony looked affronted, and clicked his tongue in annoyance, before picking up his coat that he had ceremoniously thrown on a random chair, and searching its pockets.
Bruce just watched, mildly curious and mildly cautious, as Tony presented him with a small sized, square box.
“Honestly, open it already.” Tony pressed, plopping down next to Bruce and throwing his arm over the other’s shoulder. Bruce rolled his eyes but opened the box nonetheless.
His eyes widened as he took in the bracelet sitting upon a velvet pillow; he hesitantly touched it only to have it come to life, gears churning and lights flashing, before fading back down until only thing noticeable was a small screen. Bruce suddenly realized that this, this was what Tony had been working on nonstop for the last couple of days. He looked backed up, at Tony, who was waiting for a response and Bruce, never good with words, pressed a kiss on the other’s lips.
2.Bruce/Clint
It was nice, to be out, acting like a normal couple for once. Honestly, it was hard to be a couple when there was always someone trying to take over the world. But there were days, when it was quiet, and they had time, and Clint asked Bruce to go outside.
Always, Bruce said no and always, Clint dragged Bruce outside anyways. They both knew that Bruce was just shy, and by that point, it had become routine. A pattern. Something that they wouldn’t break, because it was comforting.
“I cannot believe you don’t like cotton candy.” Clint stated, taking a bit bite off the pink cotton candy ball in his hand. Bruce wrinkled his nose, because just the idea of all that sugar; he already felt cavities forming.
“It is too sweet,” Bruce responded, but Clint just grinned and took a piece of the fluffiness and offered it to Bruce, who turned his head away.
“Come on, just a piece! It’s good for you!” Clint stated, and Bruce just huffed and pressed his lips together, glaring Clint as if daring him to try and get Bruce to eat the pink stuff. Clint, the daredevil that he was, took the challenge, and with and evil smirk, ran a hand down Bruce’s back, grazing Bruce’s ass. Bruce’s startled yelp allowed for Clint to pop the fluffy stuff into Bruce’s mouth, who had no choice but to eat the fluffiness.
“It is horrible and I am mad at you.” Bruce muttered, smacking his mouth a couple of times as he tried getting rid of the taste. It was way too sweet. Way too sweet.
“I know how I will make it up to you! Winning a stuffed toy for you at that game! Every sweetheart must get something from their boyfriend at carnivals!” Clint grinned, pressing the cotton candy into Bruce’s hand and going over to one of the dart games. Bruce sighed, but smiled fondly as he watched Clint easily beat the game and win Bruce a giant stuffed frog. He knew Tony would say something about it, but Bruce didn’t care. He eagerly traded the cotton candy for the giant frog.
“Thank you, Clint.” Bruce muttered, hugging the frog with one arm, before taking hold of Clint’s hand with the other.
“Happy valentines Bruce.”
3.Bruce/Coulson
Coulson sighed as he dropped his head to the desk. Why was it that there were suddenly so many papers to fill out that day? It was as if the world decided to dump a years worth of work on him, because it wanted to see him suffer.
He ignored the footsteps, until he caught the scent of coffee, marvelous coffee. He looked up to see Bruce leaning at the doorway, a mug of coffee nestled between his hands, beckoning Coulson.
“It is getting late, Phil. Time to get some rest.” Bruce muttered, raising the coffee to take a sip from it. Coulson glared because the coffee smelt so good, and perhaps he was slightly addicted to it, but when you worked with the Avengers, it was the only way you could survive.
Bruce just sighed, before turning around and walking back out. He had a smirk on his face as he heard the sound of chair legs scraping the ground and of footsteps following after him.
It never failed, luring Coulson out with coffee. Of course, it only worked when it was Bruce doing the luring, anyone else would get a gun to their faces, forced to relinquish the coffee before being kicked out. Tony had found that out the hard way.
Bruce slowed down and moved the cup to the side, just as Coulson reached his side. He eagerly took the cup up and began to sip from it. Of course, it was always decaffeinated, but it did the trick in getting Coulson to his room and into bed. Not like Coulson did not know the coffee was decaffeinated, but Bruce just knew that at times, Coulson just needed someone to take care of him and give him that push.
“Come, let us get you to bed.” Bruce muttered, taking the coffee and placing it on a table by the window, before going back to Coulson. Coulson was too tired and groggy, so Bruce slapped his hands away and quickly removed Coulson’s clothes until he was just in boxers.
“Time to sleep.” Bruce sighed, helping Coulson into bed, smiling at the sudden look of relief on Coulson’s face.
“Sweet dreams.” Bruce leaned down and placed a soft kiss on Coulson’s forehead.
4. Bruce/Loki
Bruce looked around at the sudden chance in scenery. One moment, he was walking out of his lab and suddenly he was standing in Paris. Thankfully, Loki had also giving him a black long coat, and a soft green scarf.
“Bruce!” Loki was at his side, offering him a mug of hot chocolate. Bruce smiled and took it, glad for the warm drink.
“Come! Have you ever been to Paris before?” Loki asked, wrapping an arm around Bruce’s waist and leading him through the crowd. Bruce had gotten used to the sudden scenery changes, as well as the fact that people never noticed when suddenly two people appeared out of thin air. Bruce knew he shouldn’t want the others to notice such a thing, but it still surprised him.
“Of course, with all my free time, I come here every weekend.” Bruce answered Loki’s question, eyes taking in all the sights. It was such a beautiful place. The cold air was biting into his face slightly, but it wasn’t too bad. There was the smell of flowers and fresh baked bread in the air. It was surreal.
“What better place to celebrate valentines than the city of love!” Loki smirked, passing by a flower stand and picking up a rose. He presented it to Bruce, who gently lifted it into his hand, and smiled.
“You do know that you don’t have to take me anywhere exotic? Anything would do, really.” Bruce muttered, but Loki just snorted.
“Of course I do! As if I would do something simple and mundane!” Loki huffed at the idea, but Bruce knew that this was just Loki competing with Tony over who had the better idea for valentines. Though, it did make him wonder what Tony and Steve were doing for valentines day.
“You know I do this for you because I like the way your eyes get that glossy, look full of wonder.” Loki added softly after a couple of minutes in silence, but Bruce heard the unspoken part, that this is Loki’s way of making it up to Bruce for all the times that Loki messes up. It was an unspoken apology.
“Thank you.” Bruce muttered, a soft smile on his lips, that were suddenly covered by Loki’s, in a soft kiss.
5.Bruce/Natasha
Natasha sat at the edge of the bed, eyes glazed, looking out in the distance. She had a brush clutched in her hand, but she made no move to brush her hair.
Bruce said nothing, instead he just walked over to kneel behind Natasha, gently prying her fingers from the brush. He hummed softly under his breath as he ran the brush gently through Natasha’s hair. It was still slightly damp, meaning she had been sitting there for a while, after taking a shower.
Bruce sighed but remained quiet and focused on brushing her hair. It was such a beautiful red color, and so smooth to the touch.
“Do you think I am beautiful?” Natasha asked, breaking the silence.
“Yes.” Bruce responded, still gently brushing her hair. He’d learned by now, that at moments like these, direct answers were the best.
“Why?”
“You are dangerous, but fragile.” Bruce responded, unsure of what he means by that, but it seems the right thing to say. Then again, when has he ever said the right thing?
“Such a simple answer but how right it is.” Natasha sighed, her voice regaining life, little by little.
Bruce lowered the brush down, leaving it on the bed, before he moved to the closet where he kept a squared box of chocolates. She took them, eyes slightly wide, surprised. Bruce was sure that Natasha didn’t know it was valentines, missions tended to make you forget those things. It was amazing enough that Bruce remembered and that he actually went through and got Natasha something.
“Happy valentines day.” Bruce smiled, sitting next to her and watching her open the box. He had the chocolates imported from Russia and it was worth it.
Her face softened, eyes tearing slightly and mouth forming such a gentle smile. He knew that she was vulnerable after missions and he knew that, in reality, she permitted him to see her this way.
“Thank you.” She breathed out, pressing her lips to his.
6. Bruce/Thor
Bruce feels disoriented as he stumbles into Asgard. He will never get used to rainbow traveling, as Tony calls it. Thor says that he will, but Bruce doubts it. He also doubts that Thor really cares about that, not because he doesn’t care about Bruce, but because Thor enjoys picking Bruce up.
Like now, Thor picks Bruce up, ever so gently, before striding out. Bruce waves nervously to Heimdall, who has always intimidated him, but Heimdall just nods at them. Bruce allows for Thor to carry him, because he knows that Thor needs someone to take care of.
Bruce always feels uncomfortable there, for he is from Earth, and it was just not something that occured often if at all. Someone from Earth in Asgard?
But, they never spent their time with other Asgardians, Thor just wanted to show him a beautiful place from his home. Bruce always admitted that the places Thor took him, were indeed breathtaking.
This time, it is a small waterfall, and Bruce loves it. It is nice being out in nature, feeling free. It is not a chance he gets to have often, the Hulk is to be secured at most if not all times.
but Thor, he takes him out, and has given him some of his freedom back.
Bruce knows that it is more to that. It is the soft blue eyes, that show all of Thor’s feelings. His anger, sadness, joy, confusion, love. Everything showed in those eyes, it was amazing.
Bruce sometimes wondered if it was the same for his eyes. He doubts it, his emotions were not as free and open as Thor, they couldn’t be.
“You are thinking too hard again.” Thor frowned, while Bruce just grinned, but instead of answering he set up their blanket for their picnic.
“One of us has to the thinking around here.” Bruce teased, after sitting down on the blanket.
Thor frowned but Bruce smiled and beckoned Thor to sit next to him. Thor followed eagerly.
“Thank you, for bringing me here.” Bruce smiled, leaning against Thor’s side. Thor just wrapped an arm around Bruce, leaning back on his other arm.
Bruce was content, for once.
7. Bruce Steve
It was breathtaking. There were candles settled around the dining area and living room. Music played softly in the background, barely there, just creating a soft and comforting buzz. The table was set up with roses in the center. Bruce had never had a romantic dinner set up for him.
“Happy valentines day, Bruce.”
Steve was dressed up and Bruce couldn’t help flushing, feeling so under dressed. Of course, it is hard not feeling under dressed around Steve, since he always filled his clothes out just nicely. Bruce, was smaller than the other and with the Hulk, he always wore baggy clothes.
“Sit.” Steve pulled the chair out for Bruce and it made his heart jump to his throat. He wasn’t sure what to say or do or feel. It was so overwhelming and he felt he didn’t deserve it. He knew he didn’t deserve this, not all of this. Especially not when his gift to Steve was nothing like this.
“Don’t, no worrying or any other bad thoughts.” Steve ordered, in his best commanding voice. Bruce smiled at that, sitting down and just watching as Steve brought the food out. Everything was perfect.
“This, is from me.” Bruce, having finished dinner, went to their room to take out Steve’s gift. He was hesitant, not wanting to give it to Steve. It was a big romantic dinner, instead, it was a small album with pictures of the whole team. Bruce felt his face heat up and he reminded himself to calm down. He just had to breathe, but he found that a hard task when Steve’s baby blue eyes locked with his.
“Bruce, this is beautiful.”
Bruce didn’t believe it, but Steve pulled him into a kiss and all of Bruce’s doubts disappeared.
