Dream [009] ☼
[Warnings: Hetalia spoilers? If such things exist? Fluffity fluff fluff. // Dream Effect: [Optional] Gloominess that turns into a happy, contented feeling.]
The scene was peaceful, tranquil. Spain sighed, sitting on his bed, looking slightly gloomy.
“I’d better go to bed early. I’ll probably feel better in the morning,” he murmured to himself, pulling off his shirt.
His queen’s words still rang out in his head, and he was feeling rather down. He hated to go against his royalty, but…
You should have given him to Turkey. Maybe he would have been useful for once.
No. He couldn’t ever, ever give Romano away. The very thought made him frown.
But then Spain blinked and looked up as the very young Romano walked in, pillow clutched in his arms much like a shield.
“Romanito? What are you-“
The child more or less ignored him and he clambered onto Spain’s bed and lay facing the wall, so that Spain could not see his expression. Spain frowned a little, hardly in the mood to deal with Romano’s bad habits now, after what he had gone through all day.
“Hey, don’t just take over someone else’s bed-“ Spain began, frown unusual on his face.
He paused when Romano mumbled something. Spain blinked.
“What was that?”
Romano paused, lifted his head a little to look at Spain and muttered, “Thanks.”
Spain stared at him.
“I…I said ‘thanks’, dammit,” the child mumbled again, blushing furiously.
And then Spain beamed, immediately cheered up, and lay on the bed beside him to pat him on the head.

[He wakes up after this, and, oddly enough, doesn’t seem to be in his bed, but instead in a chair. He sighs, hardly noticing that the Dreamberry glows pink for a moment, or the words “Dream Converted” that momentarily appear on the screen.
What can be seen is Romano, asleep in his bed. And Spain sighs again.]
