Backstory My name is Channing, I'm 20 years old and I live in Orange, California. I'm originally from this area, but recently moved back here from Scottsdale, Arizona. I identify as a lesbian, meaning I only date women. However, I occasionally become attracted to certain celebrity men from time to time. That being said, if you have a problem with homosexuality and things along that nature, I don't think we will get along.
Family My mom and her family are all Mormon, and due to my homosexuality, they disowned me three years ago. I am ok with it and talk to them on occasion, but it's difficult. We clash often, and I do talk about it here when things like that come up. I also mention in passing the time I spent at the wilderness camp they sent me to in order to try to "fix me". Like I said, I have moved past this, but I do have times where I mention my family and the things that happened in the past. I just figured it was worth mentioning so you wouldn't be completely lost.
Religion I respect other people's values and morals, but I currently don't associate with any type of religion. I don't speak about religion, even though I had strong religious ties in my past. I don't shove my beliefs in other people's face, so I would like the same respect from people who come to my journal.
Fandom Currently, I am into Supernatural, Doctor Who, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton movies, Helena Bonham Carter, Lost, The Office, Eddie Izzard, Pirates, Bon Jovi and other things and I want to be Derren Brown when I grow up. I don't have an interests list, but I plan on changing that soon. I don't mention fandom very often in my journal, but I do from time to time. If you really want to know what I'm into, it's easiest to just check my icons. I don't like ship wars and I keep those things really fluid. I usually see every ships point of view, therefore I don't squee over ship moments too often but don't mind if other people do as long as they are respectful. I like people who like to just talk about it without starting wank. If you enjoy that, then I'm with you.
Miscellaneous I make icons and other graphics and write from time to time. I have separate communities for that, but I sometimes make note in my journal here that I've done something. I think I'm generally a friendly person and get along with people very well. I have only ever banned someone once and that was because the offended me on more than one occasion. I don't make friends cuts unless there is a serious lack of commenting. I like comments and conversations on my journal, so if you don't comment to me, I probably won't comment to you. Friendship is a two-way street and I don't like to be the only person putting in an effort to get to know someone. I know that probably sounds bitchy, but I don't mean it to, that's just how I see things. I really love getting to know people, so don't be afraid to talk!
