So, last night I went outside to lock my vehicle just like I do every night and I heard a weird noise.
I look around & see the cat across the yard acting really weird, so I go over to see what's wrong
with him & he's got a bird. :[
I brought him inside & got the bird. I wrapped her in a towel. The only thing that looked wrong was that she had no tail ( Read more... )

Poor little thing. That happened in our yard too, but with a really tiny baby jack rabbit. She had a wound on her head and my dogs found her when they were in their play pen and we brought him in and fed him milk and put him in a shoe box. Mom took him to vet the next day and they said that something got at him and that he would not make it. I think they put him to sleep, because it was obvious he was in pain. Flipping all over and around. Poor babies. We named him Pierre Elliot. If you didn't notice I'm an animal lover too! :o)

You and your baked goods. Send some my way! :o)

I knoww. :[ I felt so bad, but there really just wasn't anything that I could do for her. She didn't act like she was in too much pain, but I don't know. Last night I didn't think that she'd make it, but when I woke up this morning & she was still alive hopping around, I honestly thought that it was just that her tail had been pulled off and she'd end up being fine. I guess not. :[

Yepp, you & me both have that love for animals. :] My house would be a zoo if my parents had let me keep every animal I found or saw and wanted to bring home. Haha. When I turn seventeen in December I was thinking about applying for a job at a pet store, because I'm sure that would be a lot more fun than working at a restaurant. & Gah this is a long paragraph of random pointless information. :]

I love to cook stuff. I will mail you some when I'm done, don't worry. :]

At least you tried. When we found Pierre I asked the animal community on LJ, because I wasn't sure what to do and like everyone yelled at me saying I should have let him out there and have "natural take its course." Fuck that. Seriously. I could not have went to sleep not knowing what was going on with that little guy. People are dumb. Ha. Oh I know. Good thing it is just Mom and I. Our house isn't huge either. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. 3 dogs! And I had a hamster up until a little over a month ago. So definitely both animal lovers here. Hehe.

Pet stores sort of bother me. I am more for rescuing them from a shelter, but I understand.

Cooking is fun. I just need to stop eating all of it! :o)

*Ends my novel of a comment* :o)

Haha. "Let nature take its course." I couldn't do that either. Maybe that is the "right" thing to do, but that just seems so cruel to me. I couldn't just walk by and hear a bird hollering while my cat tortues him & be like "Oh well, it's just nature." I guess that's just how I am, and of course everyone has got to have an opinion.
Yeah, my dad isn't much on having a bunch of animals. He likes them he just isn't patient at all with them. My mom on the other hand is like me. Our house isn't very big at all either, & we have two dogs, a cat, and two rats.
Ehh, I don't mind pet stores. Shelters are better, but the only way you can really work there is if you're doing volunteer work. That's great & all I just don't have time for things like that. I need an actual job, and I don't think I can get one there. Atleast not at seventeen. I just think it would be better to work with animals in some way rather than food. Haha.

Haha. I know what you mean. I'm the same wayy with the cooking.

that's so sad =[
one day, my dog, samus, got a baby rabbit, so my mom called the animal police people, & they had to put it asleep because it's leg was broken =[

I tried. :/ I just wish she would've made it.

Haha. You're not too late. I just started two days ago at a place called McAlisters. It's just a deli/restaurant type place.

& it's going ok I'm just not used to having to get up early. The place stays pretty packed, so I work my ass of all day. It's not too bad, though.
