For those of you that have expressed an interest in donating to aide the treatment of Kodak's Doggie Diabetes... I am absolutely amazed by your generosity. I'm setting up a Paypal fund called Kodak's Doggie Diabetes Fund. Question, are they having you check his blood sugar daily rather than having the doctor do it? You can get the meters cheap or sometimes free.
You'll save money too if you make the food yourself if he needs a special diet. Just a thought.
I hate how vets charge so much more than a normal doctor for basically the same info we get..and they charge more for meds..my friend had a dog that was on a med I was on. I paid $5 without insurance for a months supply at triple the dosage he was on, she paid $60 for a one week supply. Crazy.

Right now in the early stages we don't have money for a meter, but we will eventually get one to check his blood sugar daily. And until we can get his insulin where it needs to be or at least get him stabilized I have to keep him on the Royal .. whatever it is ( ... )
