I know it is cliche, but every other freshman there will be looking for friends too. Hang out with the girls in your dorm and get to know them, and then you get to meet all of their friends, and eventually you have a really huge group of girls all desperate to meet someone cool to hang out with. I know that it is really really scary but you WILL find at least one other person who you get along with really well and can become great friends.

About the classes... don't worry. Really. Just make sure you go to them. It's when you skip that they start to get hard.

Cara, I've known you for a really long time and I've seen you make it through a whole lot of shit. You are amazingly strong, smart, and have a great personality. College will be a piece of cake for you, or an ice cream cone. Either one. ;-)

look at it as a fresh start. no one there knows how weird you are, so you have the potential to meet and make friends with a ton of people. ;) im just kidding about the weird part. but it is a general truth.

on epoint of advice...dont be super close friends with your roomies and dont room with your super close friends. it will result in bitterness.

and i second the class thing- its much easier than you think. really no different from highschool (plus, senior year in highschool sucks and freshmen yaer at college is the easiest, so its a nice transition).

youll be fine :)
