Mmm, I don't know if there's an easier way but this is how I do it:

1. Select the rounded rectangle tool
2. Make a rectangle the size of your picture
3. Rasterize the layer
4. Right click on the layer then click on "select layer transparency"
5. Delete the layer without deleting the marquee
6. Click on ctrl+C
7. Select file > new then paste
