hello!
the rundown:
i graduated from high school: so glad to be done with it, didn't get my NHS cords, but that's OK.
family vacation to NYC: amazing (minus some pretty severe TMJ pain), made me want to move there forever and ever.
mission trip to peurto rico: also amazing! puerto rico is beautiful, the trip went smoothly. i came back with a bee sting on my ass.
trip to bloomington, indiana: went by car with andrew and his family, who were all wonderful, for about a week. got to meet his sister, visit my childhood home, and spend time with some really great people. hooray!
moved out of melbourne and into my dorm at stetson!
somewhere in there i managed to get myself a best friend. and a boyfriend. it's pretty great :).
so now i've been at school for a little over a month. it's a good school, pretty nice facilities, and i've made a few friends. i'm still not sure how i feel about the whole situation, though. i'm paying a lot of money to be here, but don't know what i want to study yet. people say that it's ok, but i want to be able to graduate in less than 4 years with all the credits i brought in from high school, to save money and stuff. my advisor is trying to convince me to study abroad for a whole year, but i dont think i have the money or patience for that. we'll see.
our first break is this weekend, we get monday and tuesday off, so i'm going to go home. this isn't the first time i've been home, though, i've had to go home a few times before for different reasons. usually kidney reasons, but we won't go into that. my family is moving, and i'm still not quite sure how i feel about that either. the new house sounds really nice, though.
i'm going to go get my laundry and start on some homework. goodbye livejournal!
