3 years ago I bought a 1982 bridgestone Spica 10 speed road bike.
The bike has been treating me well but I recently coverted it anyway.
I stripped off all the parts and the frame, fork, headset, and stem. I bought all new parts, painted the frame and put it back together. I'm quite proud because it has been a while since I've started a project and ( Read more... )

brakes or no? I can't imagine riding without them but I understand it's done. ;)

I took the bike for a short ride just before I put that brake on so I could experience the "no brake" style and NO FUCKING WAY!
People say the muscle memory becomes very quick but I can't see taking the risk. I installed the front break and I don't think I'll every take it off.
It provides a much needed peace of mind, not to mention SECURITY!
the no brake "Suicide setup" is just plain nuts.
