I love how angry Elsie is with him and his loyality to Mary. ^^
And the image of Elsie wanting to throw heavy objects around had me falling out of my chair with laughter. It just perfectly fits her character.

And the last three paragraphs... my poor heart is still jumping in my chest with pure joy. =)

Just perfect. I love the way you've captured Elsie's emotions in this: her anger, her frustration, the pent-up passion and unspoken love. Even her not so great relationship with Bloody Lady Mary (I've decided I'll call her like this from now on). Charles is perfect as well. So oblivious, but so chivalrous and dignified, always caring and worried about Mary.

The end made my heart burst literally.
