This weekend was fairly eventful...I'm glad I had a lot of fun before I go home to do nothing for like four days...I swear all I do is sit at home and exist...not productive at all if you ask me.
So I'm going to consider Friday part of my weekend. In the morning I plugged through recitation (where I was bored to death...as usual) and then I had lunch with my friends at Lenoir. My friend Ting actually came to eat with me so that made me happy ^^; I adore her. She's from Singapore and a freshmen and she's so...I dunno...I hope I am as amusing to her as she is to me haha...anyways after lunch we went to Ackland Museum where I was bored out of my mind AGAIN but this time by calligraphy...to be terribly honest I don't care about things I can barely read haha...
Then after that I went with Ting to get some coffee (well I had tea since I've sworn off coffee since that "incident" last year with my roommate haha ><). I also helped her pick out a gift for her friend's family that she will be staying with this Thanksgiving.
Which brings up a very odd topic...she claims that when you stay at someone else's house you're supposed to give a gift or something...I've heard of it yes...but I always thought it was more of an Asian thing to do in...well Asia...it's not really done here in the south...I always thought it would southern hospitality that allows people to have strangers that have no where else to go stay with them during the holidays. I do think it's sweet how she worries so much about it though *loves*
After our shopping trip I walked back to my dorm and met up with Mee and her HSAC friends for a potluck dinner with some people from State and Central. It went by pretty well...will never remember anyone's name...but I helped make deviled eggs! And I hate Sai! He ruined my short reign in "Head's Up, Seven Up!" TT...there was so much food...it wasn't even Asian at all...there was: deviled eggs, salad, homemade chili (that took AGES to make), meatloaf, summer rolls, spring rolls, mashed potatoes, duck, chicken wings, roasted chicken, fried rice, lasagna, lo mein, and various types of pie...it was all very pot-lucky lol...
Saturday morning went by pretty dull if you ask me...I sat around and wrote my paper for INTS (which I still think sucks but oh well...it's already turned in so I can't worry about it anymore...) and then I went to work...where I was hit on...by some creepy white dude...no joke. So he needed help with his printing and I helped him...and since I'm an easy conversationalist we chatted a bit...but later when I was closing up he was stapling his stuff together and he was like "So what are you doing after you get off work?" like he was going to ask me out if I wasn't busy...thankfully I did have plans (which I will get into later) and then when he left he asked "So do you work here next Saturday? If so I might have more of a reason to stop my more often..." and my eyes were like OO...totally sketchy...--;
So after work I met up with Mee, Kae, Melissa, and her brother (who was our chaffeur basically) to go out and eat at Seoul Garden, this amazing Korean bbq place in Raleigh. We ordered so much food and I was so full afterwards but it was amazing how fast we ate all that food though. We must have been there for about only an hour and everything was like GONE...haha...we tore the place up...--;...we then decided to go to norebang (Korean karaoke) where we sat around for like thirty minutes first and camwhored and laughed at other people's bad singing before finally giving in and paying an extra five dollars to go sing for an hour...
Norebang-ing is great! It makes me happy to know that I can still read some Korean (although my Koreanized Japanese seriously needs some work haha)...I wish they had some Chinese songs though TT but oh well...two out of three ain't that bad...
After that we got seriously lost in Durham...I mean Durham is pretty scary in the daytime...imagine it around midnight at night...sketchy right? Yeah...I thought so too...I thought I was going to die in the ghetto...not fun...I mean I have all these dreams and aspirations I have to fulfill first...and I would not like dying in Durham TT...and then we almost got into an accident...cus we were lost...but hey I made it back okay...traumatized but okay...
Sunday I met up with Mee and Kae again (I spend like my weekends with these two girls and haha...well we are the SGC - Single Girls Club) for brunch at Ram's Head dining hall...and then Mee and I went to Murphey to "study" and watch concerts on the projection screen...it felt good to not do anything and just have fun and have my brain rot haha...I'm sure I'll get sick of it at home haha...after that Kae (who had to go to do some filming) met up with us again and we went to Penang (which I think is our second home) and we had dinner and dessert at Coldstone (which I never really liked but what I ordered...the Berry Berry Berry Good...was pretty...well good lol)
I can't wait to go home though...to just sleep (cus I seriously don't think I've been sleeping well at all lately...I'm constantly tired...) and eat good Chinese food (because I'm sorry to say I've developed a phobia of Lenoir/Ram's Head food by now)...
