Nadeko met Koyomi six years ago. She made friends with his younger sisters and that's how she came to know Koyomi. She was involved in a love affair, and unknowingly rejected a classmate. He cursed her out of spite and the snake constrictor oddity took hold over her body. She was in great pain for a numerous amount of days. Nadeko went to the library and searched for books on how to lift the snake constrictor. A solution presented itself to her and so she decided to carry out a ritual. In order to lift the snake constrictor she needed to kill a large amount of snakes.
She went to the abandoned shrine to preform the ritual. Killing off snakes wasn't something she enjoyed, but it was something she needed to do. Every day she killed snakes at the shrine hoping the oddity would leave. While she was preforming her ritual, Koyomi happened to stop by the shrine. He stopped her from dismembering anymore snakes. Koyomi took Nadeko to his room with Kanbaru. She revealed to him her scaly wounds which were created by the oddity. If Koyomi left the snake as it was,it would eventually reach her neck and choke her to death. Her life was in danger.
Oshino Meme, an oddity specialist decided to help them out. He examined the situation and he came to the conclusion that the curse "shouldn't have worked". It was placed by an mature so something like that should have failed. However Shinobu's presence and Nadeko's ritual made the curse valid. In a sense, she was the one who activated the curse. Oshino told them to go back to the shrine at night. He says that lifting a curse is harder than placing a curse. He also gives Koyomi equipment so he can properly exercise the oddity.
At the shrine, Koyomi gives Nadeko a talisman of some sort and asks her to pray. The snake dissolved into thin air but Koyomi made an error. He didn't notice it at first because the snakes were invisible. There were two snakes instead of one. Koyomi pulled the snake off Nadeko and the curse returned to its owner. She thanks him for saving her life and returns home with Koyomi.
[ Personality ] :
Nadeko is a sweet and kind girl. She's very polite and soft spoken. She's a little shy around strangers, but she easily opens up to them. Nadeko has a weird older brother complex because she asks Koyomi if she can call him "Koyomi Onii-chan". She's always wanted an older brother since she was an only child. Despite her age, Nadeko is fairly intelligent. She spent hours in the library looking for a way to lift her curse. She's only in grade school but she's smart enough to act on her own accord.
On top of that she was cursed with a constrictor. She never resented the person who cursed her. She can endure a lot of pain for a long period of time. That doesn't mean she's super man. Nadeko cries when she feels like she can't take it anymore. She's also self conscious of adult fetishes. She asks Koyomi to not feel dirty when she removes her clothing. Nadeko has high expectations for the people around. She even tells Koyomi he's 'mature enough' and he should be able to handle seeing her in the semi nude.
Her goal is to be an ideal woman for the man she loves. She tries hard to act womanly and proper. Nadeko also has a crush on Koyomi. She wants to work so that she can achieve a stable relationship with him in the future.
She watches a lot of TV so she often makes references to shows like Digimon. In short Nadeko is your average grade schooler.

Nadeko has some knowledge on the occult. She always wants to try her best in everything she does. She has no magical abilities but she can withstand a lot of physical pressure.

She's just a kid so her body isn't that strong. She will cry if she gets abused or teased.
