---

After hours and days of trying to intelligently deduce Changmin's schedule, Yunho finds he can't deduce much and ends up asking the younger man anyway. Apparently, Wednesday is the only day that Changmin has classes around noon and that's the day he decides to go visit the younger man at school.

Better for it, anyway. Heechul's arriving on Friday and he's yet to come up with an excuse as for why he's going to be busy for the next week.

It's not that he doesn't trust Heechul, it's just that he doesn't trust himself around Heechul for either of them to not say something stupid. The last thing Yunho wants right now is to upset the wonderful relationship he has with Changmin. And having the younger man overhear a conversation about interplanetary travel for the purposes of assimilation is just not going to go over well.

Yunho hums to himself in his big kitchen, making a whole variety of foods to put into a big bento. They're cooked and cut into cute shapes and Yunho places little pieces of sausage in the shape of heart on top of the rice, feeling every bit like a teenage girl and not minding at all.

He wraps up the whole box in a big cloth and takes a few steps back to smile at it; it had only taken him six hours since the crack of dawn to make everything to perfection. Yunho just hopes that Changmin likes it.

Whistling happily to himself, he dresses up a little nicer than usual and styles his hair, giving himself a pep talk before heading out the door with the bento box nestled safely in his arms. He wants to make this a great date so that even if he's more or less missing and in Heechul's clutches for the next week, Changmin won't get too upset.

---

Changmin yawns in his Ethics class, doodling randomly in the back of his notebook, scrawling Yunho's name in it much like a lovelorn girl. He draws tiny hearts and fireworks, sighing as he looks up at the clock and sees that he's still got at least twenty minutes to go before the end of class.

He had been texting Yunho earlier on but the older man seemed to be occupied with something. Not that it matters much anyway; he plans on popping by Yunho's apartment later and maybe catching dinner tonight with Yunho and Junsu. Changmin isn't sure where they're going with the relationship but he loves it, really likes Yunho and for the first time in a long time, he's actually happy with his life and where it's heading.

Changmin walks out of his classroom with his phone in hand, Yunho's number already punched in when he spies a large gathering of people by the quad. He's naturally curious and makes his way over, picking up on what sounds like his boyfriend's voice a few feet away.

He spies Yunho sitting cross-legged on the grass by the library, surrounded by a sizable group of girls that he recognizes from yoga class. Yunho's got a big bento in his lap and a huge smile on his face, chatting easily with the girls, checking his watch every so often.

Changmin knows it's probably nothing and that he's being ridiculous but he watches with a jealous eye as the girls flirt with Yunho, hands on his boyfriend's arm, moving closer and closer until they're touching. He's only human and he draws the line when he sees Yunho helping a few of them out with an impromptu yoga lesson.

It's the image of Yunho holding onto a girl's waist as he turns her body into a new yoga pose that even Changmin hasn't tried out yet that sets him off, storming ahead, furious and more than a little pissed off.

"Jung Yunho!" Changmin snaps, ignoring the way the crowd parts for him like the red sea, glaring hard at his oblivious boyfriend who's giving him a big, happy smile.

Yunho blinks at the anger on Changmin's face and slowly lets his smile drop, feeling his stomach flop around in nervousness and confusion. "Hi Changmin-ah...I...brought you lunch?" He holds up the bento box with a small smile, wondering why his boyfriend is so angry.

Changmin clenches his fists, Yunho's crestfallen expression only serving to further his anger. He breathes in a couple of times and grabs the older man by the wrist, dragging him away from the crowd of girls. Yunho's barely got time to shoot them a wordless apology before being taken off to the side.

"What was that?" Changmin bristles, eyes narrowed angrily, "What are you doing here? You didn't even call or text back when I did. Why are you on my quad bending girls over?"

Yunho gapes and shakes his head, clutching the bento box to his chest, shaking his head even harder. "I was waiting for you!" he exclaims quietly, "I made you lunch and- I just wanted to bring it over for you!" He frowns at the younger and keeps shaking his head. "I'm sorry I missed your texts and didn't call you back but...I just wanted to surprise you today. And what was I supposed to do, tell them to take a hike? They pay me for yoga, Changmin-ah! I wasn't doing anything horrib-"

Changmin frowns at Yunho's answer, taking in the bento crushed to Yunho's chest and mumbles in frustration, cursing under his breath. "Your hand was on her waist!" he says louder than necessary. "I know you're their instructor but you're not supposed to be curling your arm around anyone's body but mine!"

Changmin's being more than a little rude and he's not even sure why but all he can see right now is Yunho and those girls, too close to one another, giggling and laughing in public. Changmin's never been one to be confident when having relationships, especially exclusive ones, and the sight of Yunho with anyone but him drives him insanely jealous.

Petty or not, he's pissed right now. "I'm surprised alright," he says harshly, "I never expected to see my boyfriend draping himself all over other people. Isn't that how it started with us?" he snaps, "Your hands on my thighs and now your hands on theirs."

Yunho's mouth drops open at the accusation and he feels anger flare in his chest, shoving the lunch he had taken such time to prepare into Changmin's arms. "Thanks for having a little faith in me!" he snaps, eyes hard with hurt and frustration, "Because obviously, as soon as I'm touching anyone, it means I want them under me. Thanks, Changmin-ah. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, there is such thing as being friends without it leading straight to fucking?"

He takes a deep breath and takes a couple of steps back, afraid he might lash out. Yunho clenches his hands at his sides and hates what the day has become.

"Or maybe," he spits out, "Not everyone's as easy as you."

Yunho knows that that was uncalled for but he's hurt right now, especially since all he wanted was to spend the day with Changmin, eat lunch together, have the younger man kiss him and pet him for a while in appreciation for his efforts. He had planned on taking Changmin back to his place to have dinner together and make love for the next two days before Heechul came.

Now, it doesn't look like any of it's going to happen.

Yunho ignores everyone and turns away, walking quickly out of the school campus to get as far away from Changmin as possible. And to think, he really thought that today was going to be a perfect day.

Changmin follows after Yunho immediately, the older man's comment flaring him up more than could be good, Changmin's previous anger quickly turning into a dangerous mixture of fury and disdain as he catches up to Yunho, grabbing him by the arm and whipping him around forcefully. It's about time he showed Yunho who he really is, sick and tired of having been so sweet and gentle and worrying about being too rough with his boyfriend.

"I'm easy?" He snaps back, eyes narrowed as he stares hard at Yunho. "At least I'm not bending people over every chance I get, parading around a yoga studio full of women in leggings so tight that I might as well be wearing nothing. Why don't you just go whore yourself out on the streets then Yunho? Bet you'd get more money than what the yoga school pays."

Changmin chuckles wryly, "You know I pegged you as an innocent one. But I should've known better than to trust a yoga instructor with a reputation for being bendy with my heart." Changmin glares at Yunho, chucking the bento back at the older man. "Don't worry about me. I'm sure I'll find someone else to be friends with and fuck. I'm easy after all."

He storms off after that, leaving Yunho alone with a mountain of spoiled food and his broken heart.

Yunho watches as Changmin walks away from him, the fight and anger suddenly draining away, leaving him only with sadness and hurt. It doesn't matter what they're fighting about; the only thing Yunho knows is that over something so small and stupid, Changmin's just broken up with him.

"Wait...Changmin! Changmin! Wait!" Yunho calls, taking a few steps forward, hating the sight of Changmin's back as the younger man walks away from him. He feels panic crawl up his throat and has to swallow it back down, tasting nothing but bitterness on his tongue. "Changmin!" he yells desperately, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!" Yunho makes a helpless noise and runs forward a couple more steps, hugging the bento box to his chest as Changmin keeps walking, not knowing what to do.

There are people staring at him uncomfortably and Yunho turns away after a while, heart clenching with pain and fear. Was Changmin serious? They can't just end that easily.

Swallowing hard, Yunho slowly makes his way back onto the street, wandering aimlessly for a long while. He ends up back at his apartment and sets the bento box in the fridge, not wanting the food to go to waste.

"Changmin-ah, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You have to know that I didn't mean what I said. I was being stupid and immature and please call me back?" Yunho says into his cellphone, pleads into it really, leaving voicemail after voicemail of apologies and regrets. He doesn't do anything the entire night except call Changmin and wait for a call or a text or anything but nothing comes. Yunho goes to bed and wakes up in the morning with tears streaking past his temples and still, there isn't a single word from Changmin.

---

Changmin would've called Yunho back an hour after the first voicemail but he was preoccupied, too busy bending over the toilet bowl, puking up everything he's eaten and drank the entire day. He had gone over to find Junsu at the bar, furiously cursing Yunho out, taking shot after shot of nothing but pure vodka and sometimes even rum.

He tells Junsu nothing at first, ignoring his friend's pleas to stop drinking. Changmin racks up a tab in the hundreds in over two hours of drinking, throwing his cell phone against the wall when it doesn't stop ringing and he can't get it to turn off in his intoxicated state.

Changmin cries in the bathroom alone, huddling with Junsu when the older man hugs him tightly, telling him that it's all going to be okay and that he really should talk it over with Yunho. Changmin can only shake his head, curling into Junsu's arms, mumbling incoherently about how he's easy and should just find someone else to go home with.

Admittedly, Changmin's long gotten over being angry at Yunho, he's just hurt now that Yunho would think that of him. Changmin's heard how the truth often comes out when you're fighting with someone and it really strikes a nerve to hear himself being called easy as if he'd really just sleep with everyone he meets the way he has with Yunho.

He's always believed in quick fucks and one-night stands and had maybe fooled himself into believing in love and something more, but that's a pipe dream meant for only fables and fairytales, and he knows better now than to believe in them.

Junsu carries Changmin home later that night, driving his friend back to his place where he holds Changmin against the cold tiled floors of the bathroom, wiping Changmin's face as he vomits, rubbing down his back as he cries. He's never seen his friend in so much pain and he wonders if Yunho even knows what he's done. Changmin starts crying again weakly and Junsu sighs, tugging his friend into his arms for a warm hug, wondering just how it is he's going to be able to get Yunho's number out of Changmin without being completely obvious.

In the end, he just goes right on ahead and asks, taking advantage of Changmin's delirious and half-conscious state to pry it out of the younger man.

"Hello?" Yunho's voice comes over the connection and even through the crackle, Junsu can tell that it's hoarse from most likely crying too much.

"Yunho-hyung, it's Junsu," he says quietly, walking out of Changmin's bedroom, closing the door after himself. "You have to do something."

"...Is it Changmin?"

"Of course it's Changmin! I don't know what happened between you guys but you need to resolve this. I've never seen Changmin so upset before and he's about ready to kill himself and I'm not even exaggerating. What the hell hapened between you two? And it better have been good to warrant this kind of pain because I don't see how it could be worse together than being apart like this."

Yunho claps a hand over his mouth on the other end of the line to keep from crying, so upset with himself for having hurt Changmin like this. He knows best that the younger man doesn't open up to people very easily and that deep down, Changmin's so soft and so sensitive. Harsh words like those thrown around today would hurt Changmin for a long, long time, because the younger man tends to internalize his feelings and never say a word. Yunho can usually read them right off of Changmin's face but they're not together right now, maybe not even together as a couple anymore. And he just doesn't know what to do.

"Yunho-hyung," Junsu says with a tired sigh, "Just come talk to him, okay? I know you guys can work it out. He cares about you so much."

Yunho cringes as a sharp waves of guilt crashes through him. "I- I can't...there's- I'm expecting someone soon and I just don't- I..." he trails off, eyes welling with tears all over again.

Junsu pauses for a long while, wondering just what the fight was about because he knows Changmin and Changmin wouldn't get this upset over nothing. "Let me just get this straight then," he says slowly, definitely thinking that he's missing something. "You've got someone coming over soon, someone that means more to you than Changmin does. Because you know don't you, you know that you're losing him right now. Changmin's lying in bed, drunk and passed out, in pain while he's moaning your name and you're losing him."

He knows he's being disrespectful and rude to Yunho, a hyung, but no matter how much he likes Yunho and how great he thinks the older man is for his friend, Changmin is still his best friend and he knows where and with whom his loyalties lie.

"I'm not sure if he's ever told you, but I've known Changmin for years now, ever since I moved next door to him when I was ten. And I'm his oldest and one of the very few people he'd call a friend. Changmin isn't the kind of person that lets himself get emotional. And he's not the type that gets upset, this upset because he just doesn't let people in far enough to get this way."

Junsu sucks in a tiny breath before continuing, memories of Changmin punching the bathroom stall still fresh in his mind. "I don't know what's happened between you two and I don't want to know. All I care about is my best friend hurting because he never hurts. Shim Changmin isn't the friendliest person and he guards his heart well. He's not easy."

Junsu stops at that, tensing a little when he hears the clatter of objects falling in the bedroom. "...It's your choice," Junsu tells him eventually after an awkward pause, "But I won't forgive you for breaking my best friend's heart like this. Fix it or don't come back, Yunho. Either you get over here or just stay away."

The phone goes dead in his ear and Yunho finally lets out a long string of apologies for no one to hear, hating himself for ever hurting Changmin like this. He can't just blow Heechul off and last thing Changmin had said to him was to basically fuck off because they're no longer together.

Yunho's in the middle of pulling his hair out when the doorbell rings. And even though it's completely illogical, he hopes with all his heart that it's Changmin, who cares how, coming to see him to forgive him and get back together. He doesn't care about the insults or words said, he cares about Changmin. Hindsight's always in 20/20 and Yunho can see so clearly the things he should and shouldn't have said.

"Yoorobbong!" Heechul cries as soon as Yunho opens the door.

Yunho stares. "...Heerobbong?"

"Oh wow," Heechul says with a big grin, petting Yunho on the head, "What happened? Who died?"
