I think today, I am going to clean house, do laundry and CHILL.

This week has been a week of extreme challenge, and this weekend my group has to travel to Beloit to minister in song at New Life Church. So that starts tomorrow. Need to wash my hair, and I need to pack. I also need to go to JCPennys and take this shirt I bought back.

....I've often posed this same question to friends, family, fellow church members, and especially musicians. I'm an old-school rock n roller, and my faith is strong enough, that I can listen to almost anything, (in moderation...), and it doesn't affect my walk.

...but not everyone can.

As in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I think this choice is an individual one, that can only be reached after much prayer. The problem lies with US, as musicians and worshippers, in not presenting anything that might cause our brother to stumble.

So how do we know? We don't.

I think that the music, whatever form it takes, serves a very useful purpose, and can be a powerful weapon for the building of the kingdom. Third Day played a major part in my salvation. BUT! We need to remember that music will only "get them there." Only Jesus can KEEP them there!

Luke 16 to verse 12. A difficult passage but in Jesus' own words: "And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings."
