I think my favorite part about this is all the things loudly talked around; Erik's reasons for killing Shaw, their powers.

You have an amazing way with words, I love the cynical matter of factness, the stream of consciousness. I was tense and unable to pull myself away from it the entire time I was reading. Holy shit. <3

You accepted the hell out of this challenge. I am wowed and awed. You've built such a tangled, complex, astonishing story out of deceptively simple blocks of narrative, and captured brilliantly the utter upfuckery Shaw wreaked on Erik, how Erik could miss him and loathe him and want him all at once, exactly what this must have done to his still-coalescing teenage sense of stealth.

And oh, Charles, and their powers, and Edie in her struggling awesomeness, and, well, everything. This is a dark and glorious work.
