I started writing this as an angry rant - as my declaration of intent as a disgruntled fan, and my outrage over the events of the finale. Then it turned into something else - hope.

I definitely agree with most things you said. I just think we all need to keep having fate in the DE endgame. Maybe things aren't looking bright at the moment, but after rain comes sunshine. I still believe in DE, I always will.

Also Julie said: “…she’s committed to Stefan. She loves Stefan. We’ll get to actually see them be together for a little while.”

A LITTLE WHILE! See what I mean? A little while, she didn't say forever.

Thank you for writing this down ;) It was just what I needed today. Everyone is being so negative and I get why, but I feel like we all should stay positive, even after such a heartbreaking episode.

We still have three seasons to go. Three seasons to let DE grow even closer, to make their love even more epic and perfect than it already is!

Thank you for this post. An amazing take on this whole mess. I'm tweeting it and putting it on fanforum so hopefully some DE fans that have lost hope may regain some.

It may be too late for some of them but not for me and I love that you've put into words a lot of what I've felt in the last couple of days.
