It took me well over five weeks to understand the fanfiction.net website. In those initial weeks, I didn’t realize I could see story traffic, story alerts, and favorites for my first story. Without those stats, I estimated somewhere between seven and twenty people were reading ‘Friendship On Ice.’ That was simply based on the reviews I received. I

Btw, I'm new to the site also. So, I know how you feel a bit. I'm hoping to really get into knowing what I'm doing and also getting to know people. I see the relationship between numerous authors from FF and I think it's awesome how it's almost like an online family. xD

If you work out what you're doing on here, let me know :) I'll probably still be trying to figure it out.

But as long as I can read yours and Ciara's awesome fanfiction everything is fine.
I think you should mention your LJ in your a/n and tons of people will follow you here:)))

And it's nice to hear you want to read my fanfics. I get a great deal of pleasure from reading that.
As for people wanting to follow me on here, that is a nice thought, I just don't want people to feel as if they have to.

If people friend me without a message, I'm not likely to add them unless it's someone I know personally. After what happened on FF.net, I needed that extra bit of reassurance that the people reading my stories are doing so in good faith and because they want to.
Not sure how much that helps. LoL.

But I have no right to say this while I should be working instead of reading blog post.
Funny we all start with wanting to read ciara's fic when joining LJ. So, I have no intention to really find out how to use the site, except setting email alert so I will know my friends like ciara or you have updates.
And I don't know you can restrict some posts to friend only while others can still let everyone to see! (Cos I told people you have posted the original prologue here but they told me that they can read your DE o/s but not TMS prologue)!
I always wondered how you choose to be "friend" or "not friend" when you received a friend request. I see Ciara's policy above. But what about you? I am curious.

Yes, I should be writing, but today is a bad day for me. My hormones are all over the place, and I haven't stopped crying. When I feel the way I do, sometimes I need to take a time out, and then I can write better. So today I've just been posting some thoughts here, and working on a bit of light and airy entertainment to post on LJ.
Yes, I can set some entries to friends only, which is what I have been debating about.
If I receive a friend request I could ignore and not be friends. That has happened to me when I tried to friend someone.

It took me a few days to understand how Fanfictions worked, but this just seems to be much more difficult.
