it was fucking terrifying. like there was no way in hell I was going to open my door. I turned on the outside light hoping to scare him away but nope. and I could hear that he was talking, but I couldn't tell if he was talking to himself or another person and I couldn't really hear the words. I've lived here over 5 years now and NOTHING like this has ever happened.

we'll see how the whole sleeping thing goes tonight. I do not have high hopes (other than passing out from sheer exhaustion.)

UGH. When I was living in MD, Joie was over one night and it was late and I had just gone to bed when I heard someone tapping on my window. I walked quietly out to the living room where Joie was, and she had heard the tapping, too. Then there was tapping on the back door, and I could see a guy through the slats of the blind, so I grabbed a knife from the kitchen, told Joie to call the police, and threw open the door and charged at him screaming. AND HE WAS MASTURBATING ON MY PORCH. I was so grossed out, but he looked terrified and fell down trying to run away with his pants around his ankles.

YOU ARE SO AWESOME. and seriously that's just fucking gross. I've passed the scared portion of the day and now I'm just fucking pissed off. like it's not enough that I have to be constantly vigilant out in the world all day every day? that's not enough? now I can't even feel safe at home? that's some bullshit right there. siiiiigh.

yeah I'm sleeping better now, but I also freak out more at the normal noises my house makes. so that's fun in a way that's really not. I'm hoping it was just a fluke thing because holy crap I don't know if I can handle that again. (part of the problem is my way too active imagination and a near perfect memory of every episode of Criminal Minds that I've ever watched. brain why you gotta do me like that!)
