Last night saw me check out a Poetry night which was dedicated to women only. Yeeees... sounds like that "I don't want him, but nobody else can have him" chestnut. I had to tolerate something like two years of this bullshit from a female friend of a close mate (and housemate) of mine at university - she'd even phone up pretending that she'd slashed her wrists if she knew he was going out with another lady. She was a posh little drama queen who was the cause of many misgivings over the years.

This is all attention seeking bollocks, it really is. If it were me, friend or no, I'd excommunicate myself from her if your version of what happened last night is correct. I'd also have lost my temper. Seriously. Don't tolerate this sort of crap, because it really will just drag on and on for as long as you put up a weak front. And don't even think about having a relationship with her even if she is falling for you - you have absolutely no idea what jaws of hell you're going to be prising open if you go down that route.

All this assumes that she was deliberately trying to be disruptive, of course. But I think it's fairly safe to say that's the case.
