I hear sermons preached all the time where the pastor tells his sheep that if their life is fucked up, then it's their fault. That God must be trying to break through, but we're just too hard hearted to feel Him

I can't abide the "Humans are worse than worthless, we are degenerate, evil, inherently filthy creatures!" philosophy.

We are all God's Children. We are all worthy and wonderful, and capable of incredible acts of love and beauty. If at times we don't always feel that way or act that way, that does not make us despicable.
