i'm surprised no one commented on this one. i'm glad though, cause i need my own space to comment, even if i'm not gonna say much. i like how her neck and body are in different segments of the window in this entry's picture. i'm just curious, on the colleen picture, is the picture on the wall above her yours too? aaand, i really like your 'self-portrait' from green grass ohio.
anyway, i just wanted to say that i really enjoy your photography. i had asked you a looong time ago if i could see some of your work, but you had it stowed away and hadn't scanned any of it. i'm glad you had time to post some during the break. even though you said you just started on this style of photography, you already seem to excell, so i can imagine how great everything to come will be. i'm glad i didn't sell my little nikon after all. maybe someday i'll learn how to use it! keep on posting your prints if you have time.
on the colleen picture, that was actually taken at a little venue/gallery in downtown phoenix so that is someone else picture in the background (it was a nice image of a washers at a laundry mat).
i am glad that you caught up on the different body segments in the window. i did that on purpose because i was trying to cut up and divide people so that i could show that gesture is more important in telling about the person. i wanted to show that there is no need to show a face to convey a personality.
thanks for all the complements oscar! i could give you the basics on how to use your camera... (let me know) once you get the basic idea down the rest is just really teaching yourself (that's how i learned).
