-i got a call from SVA today. an adviser is petitioning for me to be a sophomore/junior because he was impressed with my slides (!!!). this means that i get credit for all the photo classes i've taken here and i get to skip the "well-this-is-a-camera" type of classes and knock out the foundation year. from what i gather, i will be taking freshmen,

Whoa!! Congrats on the photo deal! That's so awesome to hear! I know incoming transfer students have a HELL of a time trying to transfer credits and being an "official insert-upper-classmen-title-here". SVA can be a bitch about that, I hear.

And shush with your warm weather talk!! >:O It's 23 degrees right now and snowing. All I hear from Joey is "Whoa wait... it's not summer yet? Whoa, that's weird." It won't be summer here until May/June!! Damn you Arizonians!!! :P

thanks. i wasn't expecting trouble on the transfer credit deal because they sent me a letter saying they are accepting 51 of my credits (art history, history, english, math etc) and said i got credit for all my photo classes. but i guess there is more to it, and he wants me to skip all that basic "this is film, this is a darkroom" kind of stuff. which i really hope happens, i don't want to sit through that kind of stuff.

ugh, i envy your cold weather. i HATE this warm weather garbage. you get a few weeks of sweaters and thats it, back to melting in the sun. the thing about always living in the desert, is that what little winter clothes i own are not of east coast cold standards. winter coats here aren't lined and aside from hoodies, good luck finding a thick warm sweater.

we should travel around and go into old buildings all around el paso. i am sick of that outside stuff. you know the other day i saw a photograph by one of those west ward expansion photographers in the 1800's and it reminded me of the view from smelter cementary of the train tracks and the cross on the peak.
