since no one probably remembers that I even have a poetry LJ since its been so long since I have updated it, I'm going to just post my two newest poems on here. Feed back would be great.
Here’s something to teach your kids
There’s a party out there every night of the week
All that we need to do is put shoes on our feet
And start dancing like lightings crashing down all around
The sky fills with clouds and our hearts fill with sound
The music we play it sends chills through our ears
And the dance that we do wipes away all our fears
For passion overcomes all of us day to day
It makes art something real that they can’t take away
For they can take our homes and they can take our lives
But they can’t take our art even if we do die
Because actions live on long after our flesh
And the songs that we sing will be sung once again
By the people around us who knew us back when
We sang songs right along with thousands of our friends
So every time we dance, every time that we scream
We are changing the world bit by bit piece by piece
Empty field at dawn
In an empty field at dawn
Something special happens
A surreal sense of calm
Brings to life a world forgotten
Where fairies live
Inside of trees
Where goblins rome
Unicorns breathe
A breath they lost
Of utter peace
A silhouette
Of happy dreams
That children have
Within their sleep
Please don’t grow up
Please make believe
