It's been ages and ages since I sat and typed. Since I sat and typed and flowed and wrote prose. Since I wrote. It's been ages, and it's not just me. Without deadlines, without guidelines, without even lines on the paper--I've forgotten what it's like to freefall into language. Without a community around me, the sounds of discovery buzzing, ( Read more... )

And This Is Why We Are Roommates crystalfox23 January 19 2007, 05:10:46 UTC
This weekend. What do else do we have to do?

I need to remember why I live.

Economics and science: we study them so that we can survive.

English: we study it so we know why we want to survive.

Passion. Love. Lust. Idenity. Honor.

The Romantics vs. The Realists. It's the history of the world.

It's as if I'm always bursting at the seams with thoughts I want to share and no one who wants to hear them.

But it's time to get over that. There's a world waiting for my voice. It's only Derek and most of the track team who could care less.

yay! brilliant! I'll contribute. On a side note, I've found that when I'm travelling by train I almost have a hard time getting the pen off of the paper. Why is that? I went halfway across the world in part to get some time and space to write, got caught up in life there and still feel like I'm stalling on my writing. I take a 7hr. train ride across PA and words suddenly flow easily. hmmmm.
