Friday: Took the day off work and met with my pastor. Had a very long discussion. I'm not sure if this is encouraging or discouraging but I think he was very impressed with the intelligence of our doubt. I know he was at a loss for words several times throughout the two hours or so we spent together. Marion and I have searched, and we've saerched ( Read more... )

I'm glad you enjoyed the studio, Bethany. We had rehearsal there yesterday evening. See you tonight.

I think a lot of people want to have faith in something that is supposedly so great (aka God, the bible whatever--although it's debatable whether the bible is mostly great or not), but if you know the reality of things and of life then you won't believe in it.

The bible is inconsistant and tainted at best, and most christians are dissapointing. I like buhddists. Maybe I'll become a buhddist.

I hear you get a free toaster when you sign up for freedom from desire.

I don't really go for anything spiritual, but of all the spiritual lifestyles Buddhism is probably the best (to me). Christianity as a whole disappoints me, and I guess most Christians do too.

Buddhism has this amazing ideal that every living thing deserves life and really doesn't have that "humans are superior" thing going on like most religions do. I like it. I still could never believe in reincarnation or anything, though.

I think searching IS faithfulness. At least, most of the time it's the best I can do, so I like to think it's faithfulness. I study and seek, and for now that will have to do. Keep thinking and seeking as time passes. By old age (and hopefully we'll get that long) we'll hopefully be close enough, or at least get partial credit for effort ( ... )

Yeah, I know. I'm frusturated taking this meaningless class- and it was all my fault, too.
I procrasitnated actually registering for classes. I was going to take Western Civ and get a math credit in there for good measure, but by the time I got my lazy bum around to registering, they were filled. So, I figured a nice, stress-free elective would be a good starting place.

ciest la vie.

I'm do take it somewhat personally when I listen to teachers say they're teaching now because they couldn't figure out what they ACTUALLY wanted to do.
