[Nisei pushes open the door with his foot, and gets about a step out of the house before he realizes that the house has just taken him into uncharted territory. What was the door leading out to the hall has just dumped him into a garden he's never seen before, and the sparse 4th floor kitchen he left is nowhere to be found - the door hasn't vanished, but it now leads into some sort of house. Fortunately, Seimei isn't expecting him for a while. Nisei throws a satsuma lazily into the air and catches it, scanning the garden for movement until he catches sight of you. An unpleasant look flickers behind his eyes, but it's quickly masked.]

Agatsuma-san's friend, right? What are you doing all the way out here?

[There's a lightly sarcastic emphasis on the word friend - as if a fighter having such a thing makes as much sense as a pet rock "having" a favorite marble. Then again ... you may inadvertently be the reason Soubi didn't break the rest of his fingers. So at least you proved your worth as a hostage

Aah, Nisei! I'm just as excited~!

[ That voice startled Kio, moreso than he would have expected. His body tensed, and absentmindedly, his fingers coiled into pale green locks so that he could peer off to the side, in the direction that the sound originated from.

Its owner - that face - was all too familiar to him, and suddenly, he realized why the sound had set him on edge. ]

You! Ah--...

[ Okay, so maybe provoking him wasn't the best idea. The last time they'd met, that guy had attacked him without reason. Caused him to be surrounded by darkness, and-... Oh, he didn't want to think about it!

Carefully, he rose to his feet, while maintaining eye contact with the other. It was possible that he might have had something to do with the strange situation he'd been thrown into, but the familiar stranger seemed just as surprised at his arrival as he was, so he didn't want to make any assumptions. ]

I... don't know. I don't know how I got here. I was reading my textbook, and I remember that I started to nod off

[So you know me. Nisei hadn't elicited a pure terror reaction since he got here. Somehow, it relaxes him. A little. If only because you're so transparent. He could snap your neck with a few, well chosen words, but he doesn't have any particular reason to. And Seimei might not like it.

He's supposed to play nice. For now. Even if you are easily scared, and probably even better when tortured - he pushes that thought to the depths of his mind with practiced smoothness. Nisei's expression doesn't even hitch.]

You're somewhere very large and strange. And that house is unfamiliar to me as well. Do you recognize ... anything?

[There's no point in pretending he knows how this particular room works. And telling you that you're in a room, despite the sky and the garden, would probably only disturb you.]

[It's not as smiling and seemingly-friendly as it would be if he were meeting you for the first time. But there's a certain twinkle of amusement that wasn't there a moment ago: how weird to be introducing himself now.]

[Soubi has just stepped out into the garden, himself. He's been rather restless and on-edge here, in this house where Ritsuka may or may not be where he last left him, where there might be someone he doesn't want to meet lurking behind every corner, where even Ritsuka and Seimei can't control everything. He just needs some air. And then he sees the familiar green hair. He steps over to where Kio is huddled silently.]

What are you doing now?

[ Kio perked ever so slightly upon hearing the soft footsteps approaching, but it wasn't until he recognized his good friend's voice that he pulled the hands away from his face to look at the other. ]

Sou-chan?

[ And, oh, did his eyes light up. Lunging forward, he wrapped about Soubi's legs with a gleeful laugh, laced with a breathe of relief. ]

Aah, Sou-chaaan~♥! I was really starting to panic for a minute there, you know? Waking up in this place had me pretty spooked!

[Soubi looks slightly bemused at Kio's actions, but he neither shakes Kio off nor comforts him.]

You're still in a place you don't know. Aren't you still frightened?

[ That question encouraged Kio to consider the situation for a moment. Sitting back on his heels, he simply blinked up at the other, hands absentmindedly still gripped onto the fabric of his pants. ]
