my cat came in meowing and carrying a dead bird. it was hanging out of her mouth and i knew it was dead. i shooed her away and wrapped it up in a paper towel, rubbing on it softly hoping for some reason i could force life back into it. i felt so much sorrow it was crazy, it was still warm

Koko has come in with two voles the past few days. We used to have a cemetary where we put all his kills, but now I just throw them in the fire pit, say a few words, and wait for cremation. I feel bad when I have to kick him out the house, because he's so proud that he can bring us a present. Now if only we could get him to kill, oh, bags of money or something.

Also, don't cats make the funniest meows when they have something in their mouth?
