i'll be tallying up the votes and making graphics for the winners over the next day or so.

many of you are receiving a warning for not voting. if you also do not reach the posts quota this month, you will be forced to leave the community, and may not reapply for a month. so be sure to reach your quota! you have two more days in which to do so.

Alright, but since I rely on expensive Internet cafes, I literally DID NOT HAVE TIME to read all the stuff on the community, and so my vote is meaningless.

I'll try and post something later, but I'm not sure about being booted for not voting. It's a very undemocratic principle, since the right to choose a candidate includes the right to abstain from voting altogether.

I did read the monthly prompts, and if they had been presidential candidates then I definitely would not have been voting that year. Sorry, but that's just the way I feel.

That should read, "monthly prompt responses".

hey mate.. in australia voting is compulsory ;) so i'm not with you on that one.

but don't worry re: expensive internet cafe. you won't get booted for not voting, because you've filled your points quota.. if you don't vote twice in a row then you'll get booted. but you are totally allowed to go on hiatus until your internet is back up.

I read up on it and it said that 2% of voters in a compulsory system will vote at random, being apolitical. So in a close election, it is a complete matter of luck whoever wins ( ... )
